About a 40 minute wait for 4 tacos. Shrimp tacos were actually pretty good and flavorful but too salty(you would have had to try today’s batch to understand what I mean). Hard pass on the beef tacos no flavor. Also didn’t know they were Birria style, would have preferred soft flour tacos. However, her Birria is the best I’ve had and I’m from Texas.
I ordered 2 beef Birria and two chicken BirriaThe good things- the presentation was wonderful & The portion size was amazing food was hot & fresh!Cons: we ordered, drove 20 minutes to the location, waited another 20 minutes before someone came out- then 2 ppl got served before us and Mariah came out and asked our name and went to grab our order. She was very nice & very apologetic for the delay!I was not very impressed with the food flavor. The meat was a little dry and bland. The Birria dip was underwhelming as well. It's wasn't nasty at all it just wasn't the big flavor pop I was expecting based off of other tacos I've tried. However I'd probably eat it again and try the oxtail tacos.
MealsbyMariah has the best "biria tacos" in town, period! The tacos not only look amazing, they taste amazing. My favorites are the salmon and chicken tacos, only because I do not eat beef or shrimp, I hear they are delicious also and are my husband's favorite. I also love the crunch wraps, my God they are good. MealsbyMariah will definitely be my go to spot for tacos. I hear she will be opening her food truck soon. Can't wait to follow her and those amazing tacos!
Best birria tacos in town! The taco boxes are great combos and definitely fills you up!
Honest and respectful review:The Good: the tacos were delicious! Loved it all. I got the Oxtail tacos, chicken tacos, rice, chips and salsa. The food was well packaged and the tacos were a good size. The food was also hot and smelled heavenly. The ride home couldn’t come soon enough. The not so good: I placed my order at 10am, and it was confirmed via their website that it would be ready for pickup at 1:15. I arrived a little after 1:15 and followed the instructions given by my confirmation. Per the confirmation email provided I was looking for a iPad to confirm my arrival, but once entering the building you are instructed to scan a QR code in a dark lobby and just pray they know you’re outside waiting. While I waited on my food people walking in also seemed confused as they waited anxiously for their food. Also, you should know that this is one of those “pop up” kitchen places with multiple restaurants, so every time a kitchen employee opens the door to bring out food for pickup everyone pipes up like it’s a nurse calling them back to see the doctor (only they’re praying the food being bought out is there’s).After waiting a hour for my food (which as I stated earlier I pre-ordered online) my name was finally called. I was both happy and sad…happy that I received my food…sad that I did not receive a apology for them infringing upon my time. I left in the worse mood and drove like the fast and furious to get back home for a meeting and to finally eat my lunch … All the while thinking about how to leave a thoughtful, yet honest review. Look, the food is not cheap, and I believe in supporting local businesses both my tips and patronage, but if your business refuse’s to acknowledge inefficiencies, then I can’t give 100% full support. Customers have jobs and responsibilities that don’t allow them to take unanticipated time out of their day to wait for food. If you’re a person with a tight schedule, you may need to re-evaluate your patronage until they can guarantee you will receive your order at the time promised. I for one can’t take arbitrary hours out of my day to wait for tacos (no matter how good they are).My Advice: Please be honest about service expectations and preparation time. If Oxtail tacos or salmon tacos take a bit longer, please communicate that during the online ordering process. In cases like this it’s always better to Over communicate, than to not communicate at all. Please Continue to strive towards a excellent custom experience. Your tacos are great, but service quality and professionalism is everything. I sincerely pray your business continues to thrive. Perhaps when the service level agreements communicated to your customers via the ordering process gets worked out, I will be able to enjoy your tacos again. Wishing you Continued Blessings
I am always happy to support a small business especially minority owned being that I am also a minority. When I first supported this business I enjoyed the tacos as it was my first time trying birria tacos. However, first issue and this is a constant, I always receive an email stating that my order is being prepared and to arrive on time to pick up my order. Every single time I’ve arrived to pick up my order, even way earlier than scheduled pick up time, I’ve always had to wait an additional 30 minutes at least to retrieve my order. This lack of consideration for peoples time especially those of us who are coming on our lunch break is not good at all. It’s truly an inconvenience. Next issue is the fact that the last couple of times especially the most recent visit, the birria tacos were too soggy which made them inedible and therefore was a waste of money as they were inedible. The consommé sauce and limes used to be included in the boxes but they are no longer included. The chips and salsa used to come with what appeared to be homemade chips and salsa and now the chips are hard and appear to be store bought. The side of rice is so tiny that a toddler would be disappointed. It’s literally enough for three bites. I was truly disappointed to receive such a small container. Overall, I haven’t been satisfied the last couple of visits and won’t be returning.
These by far have been the BEST Tacos I have ever tasted! I order the shrimp beef & salmon. I will definately be back for round 2..3..4! My tummy Thanks You
Some of the menu items did not have names for them is very difficult difficult to differentiate what is what, I did order the taco beef taco salmon in the Taco shrimp and they were Pleasant although it the dip sauce was not spicy enough and Tangy enough for me
These tacos are soooo good! The first time I tried Birria was from Mariah and any place I’ve tried since doesn’t even come close. My food is always ready in a timely manner. I 100% recommend!!!!
Well worth it! I got two beef and one chicken Birria taco. Delicious ? My only complaint was waiting more than I expected for the order to come out but it was worth it. I would like to figure out how to add more spice to it tho ?
