I have never had a bad meal at McKoy’s. This place feels like home every time. The first time we came here the owner was so welcoming and every time we just feel so lovely here. The food is unbeatable. It is the best BBQ in town and the service is top notch. Every single thing we have ordered is good.
After a long drive from Connecticut and Greenville South Carolina, it was time to eat ? we selected something close to out hotel, the ambiance as well as the service was terrific ?we certainly were hungry and excited about travels, the food was amazing ! I had the BBQ chicken potato salad and fried okra. It was so good. I had a mule classic and my bar had a wine. Full and satisfied we enjoyed the rest of Charlotte, swimming ?♂️and meeting new friends at our hotels pool. thanks staff ! and the Chef for great food! Lailah Mathews ??
I was staying in Charlotte overnight when the hotel staff suggested I could have dinner at this restaurant within walking distance. Right away the bartender, Regina, greeted me and took my drink order. Very welcoming! I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and it was super tasty. I recently visited Kansas city and learned a lot about pork sandwiches! This was good! Btw the potato salad was also good. Definitely recommend!
First off, the place is nice and liked the atmosphere. The food was good. You can go here and have a nice meal. With that being said, the portions were awfully small and frankly, lacked creativity in both the presentation and fare. Had a barbecue pulled chicken sand which was rather small, had like a tablespoon of coleslaw on it and served on what looked liked a small store bought bun. The side was a tiny container of beans. The sand, looked lonely on that plate - and looked like cafeteria presentation. The chicken nuggets portions a bit small as well for nearly $12 each. The food that was prepared however was well cooked and tasty but for the money spent, fell like we didn’t get enough food nor a presentation that was worth the bill. Please note this is not a negative review but just caution if you have a hungry group and or looking for creative presentation, this may not be the place for you.
Awesome service and food! We got the loaded fries, the quesadilla, and the Diablo burger! All great! We sat at the bar and the bartender (unfortunately we didn't get his name) was super fun and attentive! All of the staff had great attitudes and worked well together. Great atmosphere and experience all around!
Stayed here three times and was wonderful served. Food is delicious and tasty. Little chilly inside, but we'll this is normal when you come in from nearly 100 F.Cosy atmosphere felt very fell all the time. Will return.
We were seated outside and ordered a BBQ hamburger and shredded pork sandwich with a side of okra. The BBQ was tasty but nothing out of the ordinary. On the other hand, the fried okra was very good. The service was good and the server very friendly. Prices were reasonable.
Excellent, friendly and fast service. Food was an awesome and Smokey meat, sides were a delicious variation of what you usually get at a BBQ place.
Came across this place for first time and was not disappointed. Ordered ," living the dream", there was food enough for both of us, BBQ pork, pot roast, BBQ chicken and a rack of ribs plus 2 sides for $30. If you are in the Charlotte NC area and like BBQ you have to try this place, you won't be sorry.
