The reviews had me nervous but I had a pretty good experience! I enjoyed my supreme pizza! It was good!!! We loved the garlic knots too! I found the owner pleasant (assuming the man who took my order was the owner) and since I don't drink soda or tea, they had soda water! Yes!!!! Price is high. BUT, being a food business owner myself...we do what we gotta do to survive this inflation!!!Thank you for the great food and service, Lorenzo! My kids and I will have to visit again soon!
This review is of Lorenzo's pizzeria off of Audrey Kell Road in The ballantyne area of South Charlotte. As a non-chain pizzeria restaurant we absolutely love this place the owners are from up North and to us it makes all the difference in this being more authentic. We love the fact that we can get pizza by the slice all different varieties along with lunch and full dinner menus to include entrees and salads.Understand that Fridays and Saturdays are always packed and dinner times are usually much busier than lunch times however it is worth the wait the owner is always on site always friendly always willing to help out if you have a large party or some kind of request and the food is always hot fresh and delicious. This is our go-to place in our local area for pizza always ?
We stopped in today for lunch after it being recommended to us this past summer. This place is a little over a half an hour away from us, but today we were in the area and decided to go.The location is in a little strip mall. There is plenty of parking. Inside is nice and clean, yet small. We were immediately greeted by the owner, who was so sweet! We ordered the garlic knots, French fries for the kids, and an 18" white pizza. The owner noticed my two toddlers, who were in less than a good mood, and brought them crayons and paper to color! Our food came out really quickly. I honestly don't know what was better--the customer service or the food! Everything was AMAZING!! Although it's not super close, we will be running back. Probably the best pizza I've had out here so far.
Ny style pizza. My wife hated it, no flavor. Very expensive pizza even for its size. Still looking for ny style in Charlotte area. I am updating my review with a lower rating. If the owner responded with go back to NY then he doesn't deserve any business from people looking for NY style pizza. If you want cardboard covered with tasteless sause and cheese THIS IS YOUR GOTO PLACE. Mangia
This is the real deal! NY pizza and all of the other stuff!!!!A great find! All of the sandwiches I grew up eating.....Done right!!!
The go-to spot when I'm in this area. Great food and great people. Don't miss out on their pizza! One of the closer ones to New York Pizza we've had since moving down here.
First time here with my family the food was great to bad we won't be coming back the service here was horrible first the cashier seemed to be irritated as soon as we walked in the building then order our food we were discussing if we wanted to do a whole pizza or if we wanted a slices and they man that was at the front with him were both like we don't have slices but they way the said it was rude. Then I walked in to get cheeses and red pepper and the cashier stuffed them in my hand. As I walked back in to get a box I asked for a box and the man grabbed didn't say anything and just handed it to I would never recommend anyone to come here.
Best NY Pizza in CLT! Sauce is amazing and the pizza is not the only great dish. Lasagna Chicken parm, grandma pie and Sicilian are also great. Not a fancy spot but anytime I’m in the area I stop in. I’m Originally from NY and a bit of a pizza snob - this place is my favorite in Charlotte
The food is good (if they get your order correct) but the service is awful. I ordered a half pepperoni and sausage/half cheese pizza. They made half pepperoni/half sausage. They told me it was made that way because I ordered it online. In order to correct the situation, I would have to order another entire pizza. When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told that he would be in a couple of hours. Of course the entire staff at the time was a bunch of high schoolers (on a Saturday afternoon) that were all on their phones. This wasn't the first time I've had bad customer service from their high school aged staff. I will think twice before ordering from Lorenzo's again.
We have been going here for years and have always enjoyed it. Yesterday when we went, they had no sweet tea (try explaining that to your two year old), then they charge $1.10 for a pitiful amount of ranch, then we asked for jalapenos for the cheese pizza and they can't give them out on the side. I was even fine with paying and they told us they can't do that ... We wanted the jalapenos on the side because my 2 y.o was eating the pizza too and we didn't want the jalapenos on the pizza, just wanted them on the side. I feel that money has taken over this once sweet family owned restaurant . I get we are all out here to make money but you should keep the hospitality, too.
