This is late. I'm playing catch up on reviews. I stopped by on Sat, 3-19-22. Was out running errands & knew I wasn't cooking. I ordered the shrimp platter with sausage, eggs, potato, & corn. I added the banana pudding.They put the banana pudding in the same bag as my entrée. Once I noticed in the car, I took the pudding out. Wouldn't get the pudding again. Wasn't terrible; just not as good as mine.The platter didn't disappoint. Was filling & I couldn't eat it all at once. I did a take out order. They were pretty busy, but they kept the line moving. The next time I'm in the area, I'm going to try to dine in so I can try a drink.
My flight was delayed in Charlotte so I stayed at the Double Tree. Thus wonderful black owned business was 2-3 minutes walk away. I love seafood boils and I got the crab and shrimp lunch platter with the Cajun and honey garlic sauce. OMG… It was delicious!!! You have to come to this restaurant, the food is well seasoned and the frozen drinks are yummy. Great service and food.
Pretty good seafood. Got the cean and shrimp. Comes with a lot of sausage corn and tators. It was soaked in a buttery liquid, the food was swimming in it. That might be my only complaint along with AC being off on a hot night.
The food was so delicious and well seasoned, I'm talking about slap yo momma good. I had garlic parmasean grilled shrimp, fried fish and the red velvet waffle. We were in seafood paradise. We walked in with pep in our step and wobbled out of there cause we just couldn't stop eating. Well worth the money. We will definitely be back!
We ordered the fried shrimp with a red velvet waffle, fried lobster tail and the Kastaway Platter. Warning the food is salty on the fried options. Order a frozen drink to wash it down and enjoy.
The tables were not clean. The waitress played with them long eyelashes instead of explaining the menu to new customers which was the keyword when she asked have we ever eaten here before..The food containers need to be in a bag because of the butter falling out ruining my outfit. The shrimp were tasty as well as the crablegs.. I will come back to try the fried food soon
The best part about this place is the customer service. From the initial greeting, to making sure your ordering exactly what you want and checking on you after your seated.Unfortunately, my food was not hot or warm. I think they let my food sit while my friends fried food was cooking. My food didn't even have a bit of seasoning in sight and when I made a remark about it, the waitress said its mixed into the sauce lol. No mam, I'll need more seasonings because I can already tell from the looks it's bland. I also didn't care for the amount of lemon being added to the butter sauce. I'm not a fan of lemon potatoes, yeah cajun but not lemon.My friend said the fried fish was good.
First would like to share how beautiful and clean this restaurant is. A very friendly feel! Seems to be BLACKED OWNED ?Now babeeeeee the food tastes as good as my pic!!!! The deep fried lobster almost made me want to go smack my mommy but I’m not ready to die..lol
This place is amazing! First the customer service was great. I advised to the woman who was taking my order that this was first time there and she was very nice explaining how things worked there. I ended up getting the Shrimp and Crab boil lunch special. She recommended the garlic parmesan sauce which was delicious! My food was well season and hot. I enjoyed every bite! Love that this is a black-owned establishment. I will be back again for sure. Great job!
Great find in Charlotte! After getting stuck in Charlotte due to delayed flights, we were put up in the Hyatt that happens to be next door to this place. Recommended by two of the hotel’s employees we figured we’d give it a shot. The fish and chips were awesome! Huge portions. Yummy sauces. And extremely friendly service! Not pictured are the passion fruit and mango margaritas which were a perfect compliment to our dinner. It was also very reasonably priced, especially for the quality and portion size. If I’m ever back in Charlotte, I’d definitely stop back by to get dinner here!
