So I’m originally from Michigan- Coney Island State. I grew up on chilli cheese dogs and this one did not disappoint!I was visiting from Atlanta and was craving some good chilli cheese. Not only was the food great, but so was the customer service! I inquired about curbside pickup (had my two young kids with me) & they stated they don’t have it as a service but would be more than happy to bring it out to me. The fries weren’t soggy and the dog was soooooo good!Next time I’m in Charlotte, I will be here!
We are originally from Detroit, some of you may be familiar with American Coney Island and Lafayette in downtown. We relocated to Charlotte nearly 3 years ago. My husband is always on the lookout for a good hot dog.He heard good things about JJ’s, from a neighbor, so he really insisted we try it, yesterday.First, this place feels like it belongs in a ballpark. Has that old time charm.I don’t usually do hotdogs, so my husband did a few for himself and I tried the chicken sandwich with a side of chili cheese fries.I was super hungry! Sometimes hard to judge the food when you’re starving.I’m not going to say that the food was the best we’ve ever had but we enjoyed the experience.
Very great hot dogs and a beautiful restaurant with a friendly work staff
JS pullium in Winston-Salem is by far a better hot dog for me. A good grilled hot dog fixed just the way you want, with a toasted bun
I’ve ate at this place once before when I 1st moved to the Charlotte area back In 2016. Stopped in today for a quick snack on the way home. Hot dog was ok, however my 4 year old was not impressed with his kids meal. He even asked me why the chicken tenders were so small. I know it’s only about 5 dollars but was almost as if they cut a tenderloin in half. Also the fries were undercooked or something because they had a weird taste.

I love this place but I wish they would reopen Ballantyne or move to Fort Mill. I'd work there PT to enjoy the food and atmosphere
Stopped here before getting on the road the other day. Great spot! I got the sausage dog- it hit the spot and I love tator tots. You can’t go wrong here if you want a good hot dog. Staff was friendly too!
Service was great and friendly. Gave me a discount for being a healthcare worker(I do I.T. for Atrium Health) without me asking. I really enjoyed the food and the hometown feel. You should give it a try.
Seen this place on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. Decided to make the drive from Greenville to check it out since I’m such a huge fan of the show. I decided to order what Guy ate which was a meal that they actually offered on the menu. The onion rings were nice and crispy & the different options of dipping sauces were tasty as well. As for the main star of the dish, the dogs…they were okay. Didn’t quit get that snappy casing with the JJ's Bratwurst. The Chili Cheese Coney was pretty basic. Was it worth the drive. No. But the experience was nice.
