My parents were in town and I wanted to take them somewhere they have never been before, so we went to Jackie Boys Grill & Tap. They absolutely loved it! What a hidden gem! Friendly atmosphere with a bar and TVs. Great service. The wings were fried to perfection with a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. The chicken quesadillas were huge with super fresh toppings. The taco salad was the star of the show. The grilled chicken strips were well seasoned on a bed of crisp lettuce and shredded cheese. The sour cream, tomatoes, and guac on the side was a great addition, all in an edible bowl. Topped with chipotle ranch, this was an amazing dish bursting with flavor. I highly recommend this spot if you're in the area and try the Taco Salad (you won't be disappointed). ??
I don't usually do this but I have to. This is the worst place I've been to in some time. We ordered 2 sandwiches one was a club sandwich, took 2 hours! 45 mins for a the salad. The club should of had no tomatoes and mayo on it well, it had no mayo but it did have tomatoes and STALE bread ?. Not to mention we had to chase the waitress down for everything we needed while she was either outside socializing or hanging out at the bar on her phone. Then when it was time to pay I had to manually put in my debit card #...are we still in the 90's!? I'm really disappointed and mad. I want every go back. I understand it's hard to find help but the help you have needs to actually work and really how hard is it to use fresh bread or if it is stale toast it. To top it ALL off I asked for a to go tea...guess what I didn't get! Should of asked AGAIN however I was too mad to do so and just wanted to get out of there.
had great food, but music was way too loud couldn't talk to my wife next to me. came before and it was never this loud. doing music trivia night. swear you could play it from your house as loud as it was. waitress was apologetic
Last Night we enjoyed Jackie Boys for the first time. Very short staffed but who isn’t now of days. The bartender worked her tail off, she was the bartender and the waitress for the entire establishment. The hostess was so helpful and would help deliver food. They worked as a great team making sure everyone was taking care of. Now on to the food… delicious! Between the Phillys, wings and supreme nachos we were super impressed. We definitely will be back.
The Philly Cheese Steak Supreme (w/ Provolone) was just perfect! It was without a doubt the best Philly Cheese Steak I've had since I lived in Philadelphia years and years ago. They have sweet potato fries, too, and give you a LOT of them. We had a team lunch there and they handled us very well--- the table was set up and ready for us, and the wait staff was very friendly and patient even as one of our bunch changed his order at the last minute. We gave him grief, but the waitress was very kind and didn't seem to mind.
This is the place. Small, locally owned, great service. Been for brunch and dinner. Everything is good. Their shrimp and grits are reasonably priced and rival more expensive restaurant's. Mimosas are yummy. Evening cocktails are so pleasant. Their half pound burger can be doubled and it will eat you!
I went to this place during Super Bowl and I love the environment. The bartender was also the DJ for that night which I didn’t have a problem with. The employees were nice, I practically spoke with all the employees. I got the Philly cheese steak and it was good. I will be going back again
First time here today for lunch - Neil and Ian were GREAT! Very friendly and personable - the Supreme Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was the bomb! Haven’t had that good of one since being in Philly!!!! Also ordered the All American burger which was awesome! Fries are excellent as well as the coleslaw! WE WILL BE BACK! THANKS GUYS! Will tell all our friends!!!!! Sheryl and Trish!!!
Only four stars because I just went for a few beers and never tried the food. But rather than give it 3, the extra one comes from the awesome service we had. One of the owners made a point to say hello, the server was fantastic and it was a great experience overall. Recommended.
Food is great, but the one man team running the front of the show is the real stunner. I don't know how he does it, but Neal manages to keep customers flowing in and out, running drinks and food, taking orders, wiping down tables, and bartending. This place is great!
