I pass this truck almost every day. I decided to stop and try the curry chicken and cabbage. Unfortunately, they were out of both so I got a five piece sweet chili wings. They were so good and tender, meat was falling off the bones. I went back today and was disappointed because the wings were not good as yesterday.
There food is amazing always have me coming back for more and it's a decent prices just awesome.
This food was soooo good !!...me and my dad sat right in front of the truck and smashed this food. And lemme just say THAT MAC AND CABBAGE IS SMACK. I'm Def coming back !.
O.M.G This is the best island oxtails I've had in Charlotte nc since tropical goodies in the 90s I though I just went back today an they weren't there ?? cause of the holiday but I will definitely eat there everyday until I try the whole menu ❤ thanks Island Boy Kreationz it's an blessing to have you guys in the city baby ?

Definitely wanted to give this place a try as I’m all for black owned businesses and having a Caribbean S.O I eat a lot of Caribbean food. This unfortunately was complete disappointment. The cornbread wasn’t fluffy at all it was pretty mushy almost like a corn pudding. The jerk chicken I got was mostly bones and skin. Although the sauce on it was decent, it was dry like it had been under a heat lamp or sitting in the pan most of the day. There was one salvageable piece I enjoyed. I took one bite of the Mac and it just wasn’t it. Rice was subpar. No flavor just seems like it was white rice a few kidney beans and the sauce from the chicken all over it. The best part of the plate was the cabbage and even that was over cooked. I want to give the benefit of the doubt as we got food around 515pm and they close at 6 but to me that’s no excuse for such poor quality. This was a first and last try for me. I will say the oxtails my boyfriend got weren’t bad but otherwise he got the same sides and they were the same quality, poor.
This food truck was at my job for an event that we had. I ordered the bourbon wings, rice and peas and cabbage. I went inside and tasted my rice and peas and I immediately walked out, waited in line and had to tell him how good this food was. Omg the sauce was amazing, the rice and peas, the cabbage the mango lemonade!! Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. I’m so gladdd he was at my job that night cause this is my new go to spot!!
I am officially a loyal customer. Lucked up on this truck taking the long way home due to traffic on 85 and decided at that moment I did not want to cook. Anyway got the oxtail meal and it took me home like literally it was like I was in my Aunts kitchen in New York the flavor was EVERYTHING. Long story short, I will be taking the long way home a lot from now on just got a GrubHub order delivered and it was still hot when I got it. So highly recommend this truck by far the best Caribbean food I have had since I been in Charlotte. That would be 20 yrs ago, just saying.
I went yesterday and got the chopped curry chicken meal with rice and beans, cabbage Mac and cheese and cornbread and a order of jerk wings. Today I went and got the jerk salmon meal. The cornbread taste just like cake. The food was excellent with good portions. I’ll probably be back tomorrow for a 3rd day in a row. I been all around Charlotte eating Carribean and this has to be hands down the best. Definitely would recommend.
