This place is an all-around great spot. You should see the servers when the place is absolutely packed… they KILL it. The chicken florentine pizza and the chicken francese are both to die for. Worth every penny.
Excellent little spot for outstanding drinks and dinner. We ordered from there over the last few years and tonight finally ate in...I see it becoming our new favorite!!!
Pizza here is great! Awesome dough and crust, fresh toppings and great combinations. Good beer selection and well made cocktails. Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff. Check this place out!
I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and usually have a good experience until today, this was the first time that I verbally mentioned to them that I was Muslim. I went to this establishment at 7pm on the 11th of April. At around 7:22pm, we ordered our food. We ordered a Romain salad with no bacon and then ordered a garden pizza, we asked to have onions on half and swapped out the type of cheese. At 7:30pm they brought our salad with no bacon out, we then asked the waiter to please wait till 7:50pm before bringing out the pizza since we are muslim and fasting for Ramadan, he immediately seemed irritated. Keeping the salad was fine since it wouldn't get cold but we would like to not have our pizza sitting out for 20 mins before it can be touched. They brought the pizza out at 8pm, I asked at 7:45pm if we could have it and so he put the order in but when the pizza came out, it was all correct, the type of cheese we wanted and only onions on have but as were eating we notice there are slices of pepperoni hidden throughout the pizza. After waiting 10 mins, I asked to speak to a manager but he didn't care to come outside and instead I needed to go to the bar to speak to him. I expressed the situation and how upset I was, he mentioned that it was supposed to be a to go order.. meaning they would've modified their order EXACTLY like we asked but also added pepperoni on a pizza that is a GARDEN salad. The manager started yelling about how they don't target muslims and the chef is Mexican. It was the most degrading and targeted situation I have ever been in. To purposely treat someone like this, knowing their religious belief is very disturbing. Not a single apology.

We decided to come here because of Diners Drive ins and Dives. We got the Piroska and cabbage rolls. It was delicious. Definite must try.
My absolute favorite restaurant in Charlotte! Everything is good but my go-to is the ravioli and the chicken Francese. Their pizza is also amazing though! Family owned and operated and they grow a lot of their ingredients themselves! Everything is fresh. Also, if you want extra awesome service and you tip well ;), share the love with Trey! Best server ever!!!
I eat here at least 3 times a week...I have a problem. One of my favorite Charlotte spots, obvious they are passionate about their food. Some menu items stand out more than others, but haven't had a meal I didn't like.
Plaza Midwood staple, locally owned, and a nice spot to eat/drink. Has a cute outdoor patio that's great most year round and covered during the winters. It's Serbian, despite the pizzas and the Italian sounding name.Pro tips:1. Piroska is my favorite item on the menu, it's calzone-like and tasty, highly recommend2. Pizza is solid, but varies depending on selection3. Lasagna is tasty, but the portion is unfilling4. Get the crostini appetizer over the bruschetta5. Credit cards are charged a 3.5% fee, this is only communicated on bottom of the receipts6. The waiters often ask if you want spinach in your piroska or marinara with your appetizer (such as the crostini), they're always an unspoken extra, $1 and $2 respectively. Definitely get the marinara, just be aware.
Great Atmosphere, Superior Waitstaff, Perfect Pizza, and Marvelous Martinis… a “10” !!!
