This place was pretty good. Lots of people in reviews are saying it’s overpriced, I think it’s pretty on par for what you are getting. It’s a good Neapolitan pizza slightly Americanized and I’m not sure everyone grabbing a pie realizes the difference. It’s super tight where you order and a little chaotic if there’s a line. Pizzas came out within 10 minutes or less (to be expected cooking at 900 degrees!).The crust was great, a perfect leopard, soft and good flavor. The dough was not stretched well for either pizza we got. Both the small and large pizza had a disproportionately stretched pie. Way to thin in the middle. Great flavor and pretty good service though. An easier sell for 5 stars if the consistency of the stretch was even 50% better and I likely won’t be back due to it.We got two cannolis to go. Pretty standard, a good size $5-6 each.
The good: Lovely people all of the way around. Delicious and beautiful product as long as you like the charred taste. I do, my girl...not so much. The bad: "millennial loving" hard surfaces everywhere. We were the only people in the place and couldn't have a conversation at the same table. The table layout and the delivery trays flat out don't work. They're just in the way. These trays are a solution without a problem. The menu, while "interesting" specifically states that changes aren't allowed. I prefer customer focused sellers. While it was delicious, we won't be back due to the above items. If you are one of those people who like to yell at each other while eating (my family certainly was growing up!), and enjoy extremely limited menus with a mix your seller designed...instead of you, you'll surely love the food (and the people!).
Was very good pizza! Left me satisfied and did not sit too heavy on my stomach. Not too greasy or oily at all but just right and light in all ingredients. I liked how they had options for the pizza to have red sauce with or without it and still gives you the option to have it on the side. It is a bit pricey but you will be definitely paying for quality over quantity here. Customer service was great and I will be returning here again!
The pizza was better than expected, just wish there was a bit more sauce ON the pizza and not just handed to us in a cup on the side (it did come in handy for dipping the crust though). The cannolis were delicious, aside from the lemon cannoli being served with lemon seeds and not really tasting lemon-y (could use more flavor). The chocolate chip and sea salt caramel gelato was full of flavor, but the sea salt caramel had too much elasticity. Overall good experience and would eat here again!
Just visited their new location in Fort Mill. Not impressed. Service was horrible as they had only one register running to take orders and it was eternally slow. Was figuring the pizza would be up there with the best I have eaten with the prices they charge. 40.00 for two small pizzas. Unfortunately, it didn't come close to meeting that standard. And if you get one, make sure you eat it when it is hot. The more it cools off, the worse it gets. Decent char on the bottom, but way too much flop. Doubt I will be going back on my own accord
We ordered a pizza and we’re pretty disappointed with the lack of toppings and sauce (half the pizza is just crust) Clearly cutting corners at the expense of the consumer for a pretty hefty price tag.
First time tried Inizio last night. Placed an online order for a large pistachio pizza (definitely overpriced).Received an order 24 minutes later than scheduled. The pizza was over burned at some spots and doughy at other spots. Badly made. Best of all, the pizza was uncut in the box so we had to come home and cut it ourselves. Taste was definitely worth trying. Not sure if we will try again or not since the experience from beginning till the end was not pleasing at all but one star is for the taste.
Pizza is very tasty. The unique pepperoni's were very good as well. But it is pretty pricy and there was a bit too much crust for me. Wish the cheese would've been more out to the edge. Definitely worth visiting, but probably won't be on the regular rotation for me.
I've seen all of the rave reviews, and I wanted to give this place a try. I got the Diavola, which includes Spicy Salami and Calabrian Peppers. This is one of the best pizzas in the city! The salami and the sauce were so rich in flavor, but what really blew me away was the Calabrian peppers. As soon as you bite into one there's such an intense richness that's almost overwhelming (in a good way). The dough was soft in the middle, but had a nice firm shell that added a good texture to each bite.If you're looking for good pizza in the Charlotte area add this place to your list!
Literally the best pizza in Charlotte. Service is excellent and pizza cooks so quickly that you make it a lunch stop during the workday. My go to is the Cavoletti with its crispy pancetta and Brussels' sprouts. Amazing every time!
