Loved the service that Donna provided. She went above and beyond for us in the event of only having 2 other workers and herself. Food was hot, fresh, and quickly served after ordering and she operated and served us as if the restaurant were fully staffed. Please give this manager a raise and or higher position.
Big steak omelet is the best thing on the menu! Great customer service.

I have never had to write a review of a restaurant but I have never been treated this way. me and my sister have never been so discriminated against.we could see the difference of treatment between us and the another people that were their. We received bad looks from the waitress two that were their. and really bad service the food was cold and we waited for 40 minutos just for that. And told that waitress then. the manager brought that wrong food that was from the kids menu and clearly what we didn’t order then they tried to charge more then what was order and my sister asked for her pancakes 3 times and never got them. I feel so angry and disappointed never going here again.
Was quoted a 15 minute wait to be seated, and waited over 30. Several tables were available, but not cleaned and ready for customers. There seemed like there were a lot of workers not actually being productive given the mediocre amount of guests. Waitress was good though. Food was good after it arrived another 20-25 minutes later. Bathroom needed some attention. I'll probably avoid this one for a while until they can get their ducks in a row.
My family and I were passing through town from a business trip to Dayton returning home to Toronto Canada. We are big fans of the IHOP restaurant chain. Found this location in Charlotte NC and headed out for breakfast/lunch. Upon arrival the immediate vibe we received from staff there was fantastic. They were in between shift changes and short staffed at the moment but management didn’t skip a beat to step in and accommodate us with a warm friendly welcome and seated us promptly. Even the server who was scheduled to leave stayed a few extra minutes to assist to make sure we were taken care of.The manager on duty at the time introduced himself as Sean (or Shawn sorry if misspelled). He had a sling on one arm from a previous injury. Though he probably should not be moving too much in his condition, did not blink an eye to jump in as our server. And what a lucky experience that was for us! So very professional, funny and Knowledgeable we couldn’t have asked for better service! Given that our previous customer service at another location in Florida was disappointing, Sean made up for that 10 fold! This review is long but we needed to make sure that if ever IHOP needed to show future training staff what you would need to do to as far as good customer service goes, that this review would be that example and Sean would be the man to speak to. We may not be able to be back in Charlotte NC soon but rest assured anytime we are in the area, this IHOP location at 8146 S Tyron St. In Charlotte would be the one we would go to for Great food and phenomenal service! Clearly this place needs better management. Our server Shay was nice and on point, but that's where the niceties stop. They decided to do some handy man work in the middle of lunch. So all you heard was hammering and drilling..in the dining room. They are serving smaller pancakes..As we were told, " To see if anyone notices." Yeah, we did. Ladies bathroom hadnt been looked after in awhile. Trash underneath tables. Probably won't be going back.

Table needed to be wiped off after we were seated. Server was polite and attentive. My wife's cheese eggs were not visibly appealing. Otherwise, everything is was good. The pancakes were nice, fluffy, and hot.
I thought it was safe to take my family here to eat being that I am a former employee, but clearly I was wrong. I was given dirty silverware I looked past it only to see that our cups are dirty during a pandemic. Our food sat in the window for 8 minutes while our server made drinks (and yes I counted and also seen all of our food in the window, we made a special order and as I said I used to work here so I knew it was our food). I asked for a different server and was denied because I am a former employee and they expected me to "understand". It wad overall unprofessional and I don't appreciate waiting a little over a hour to leave hungry and upset.
