Came for dinner on a Friday night. We were seated quickly and Derrick was our server. We regularly eat out, and Derrick was one of the best servers we’ve had. Very attentive and food/drinks came out as ordered in a timely manner. Prices are very reasonable, food was delicious. We will return.
Nice music to listen to. I go here on taco Tuesday and the taco are $2 every Tuesday. Nice place to eat taco with good vibes here . You do have to pay for parking in the parking lot straight across from the restaurant keep that in mind. You will not regret this place try it,it’s better than Taco Bell!!!!!!!!!
Ate there last night. We were promptly seated and served. Chips and salsa were brought while we looked at the menu. Chips were warm. I had the build a bowl and they were very gracious about substituting guacamole for the avocado. The lettuce and cilantro were fresh. My soon to be daughter-in-law had the burrito and it was more food than she could eat. Would definitely eat there again.
Poor service. You are made to pay prior to receiving your food. We did not want to tip on our card (cash instead) and the hostess’ “friendliness” completed changed. It’s clear that the hostess & waiter worked together to provide poor service. Waited 20 minutes to receive water, silverware, chips & salsa, and a missing portion of our meal. Whenever we went back inside to request water, silverware, chips & salsa and missing food, the hostess and waiter would look at each other. Both were extremely rude. Did not appreciate being ignored. All other tables were quickly waited on, serviced, provided drinks, and chips & salsa. To add, we were given PLASTIC silverware to eat and with. Lastly, the food was extremely underwhelming. We’ve been waiting to try this restaurant and will never come again. Next time, don’t make assumptions about our willingness to tip. We prefer to tip cash after our meal and based on the service given.
Very busy Saturday night! Post Covid staffing nightmare for this restaurant.Due to a typo on our number, we ended up waiting a long time for our food. Things happen. The food was amazing when it did come. I will dream about the queso for years to come.Staff was as friendly as they could be as busy as they were. Jack/Jake (?) the manager could not have been kinder about the situation.Hopefully, they can get staffed and really be a 5 star location. Take the Light Rail in so you don't have to park. Take the chance. The food is worth it.
Contrary to their "$2 Taco Tuesday Dine-In Only" special advertised on their website and the reviews below, Taco Tuesday does NOT apply to the steak, shrimp, or fish tacos. The manager was very disrespectful with this mis-marketing of theirs and said "corporate" doesn't allow them to make things right for the customer. The tacos were so bad they wouldn't have even been worth $2, never mind $3.75. And the marg didn't come until after we had completely finished our chips/salsa and our meals. Go anywhere in CLT but here.
When I walked in, there was a group of 4 and a couple. On a Friday night after 5pm in South End. Uh oh. The pub next door was packed! Here’s why: there is absolutely nothing special about this place. The salsa, the drinks, the service, the food….all just…meh. Zero excitement. Minimum flavor. Not sure how they stay in business. Not one other person went in to Hot Taco while I was there, while people were streaming into the pub next door. There is a chain taco place down the road that crushes Hot Taco.
Food and drinks were good, our server was great. Only complaint was they were short staffed like everywhere else, and they brought in servers from another location owned by the same owner. Caused for some confusion between employees
So freaking good!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite food is Mexican. Im in town from PA & ima taco guru. I approve … Taco Tuesday $2 tacos I had the blackened fish, grilled shrimp and beef. My boyfriend had the Buffalo shrimp and blackened fish we both had a side of rice & beans & two margaritas. They can make literally whatever flavor u want. I had mango he had strawberry $6 each & let me tell you it wasn’t no bs Margarita it had alcohol in it more than usual places with specials. Everything was so good. I’ll be back for sure hopefully when I move here every Tuesday lol.
Great Food and Service! It is kid friendly too!! I love the salsa and chips. They give you a lot of food for your money.
