I actually enjoyed the food and cozy atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff was very friendly as well! We will return!
When I lived in Beverly Woods in the 90's, this gem had just opened. It is still one of the best restaurants in Charlotte and Southpark. In 20 plus years I have never had a bad meal or experience at Harper's. Service is excellent, food is great and served quickly.
Wonderful meal. This was our first time and we will be back. Food was fabulous and service was friendly.
Excellent food. Was easy to make a reservation. Considering the tight labor market service was decent but honestly our server seemed distracted or had too many tables. Will definitely go back
Something for everyone….seafood, pizza, salads, sandwiches, burgers. Nice place with wood and brick with a large bar. We were seated quickly despite being a Friday night without a reservation. Daily specials posted by the entrance, or ask your server. Cocktails were pricey (and not great ) for the price. Better bet was a glass of house wine…huge glass and great pour for $6!!! I had a BBQ chicken pizza. It was huge. Crust was great; really thin and crispy but not burnt, but the chicken lacked flavor /seasoning. My husband had the hickory smoked salmon which he liked. It was a good sized piece of fish and cooked to his liking.
The food was very good. Our server was excellent. At first, they weren't going to seat us because we thought we had a party of 10. Turned out to be 7. And so glad she did. We had a great time and the 2 servers that assisted us were amazing!!! Thank you.
Harpers is located close to SouthPark Mall, across the street. It’s a free standing restaurant surrounded by a strip mall. The interior is brick, rich wood and dimly lit to create atmosphere. We didn’t have a reservation but were quickly seated on a Friday night. The restaurant features daily specials so check the chalk board or ask your server. The menu features a good assortment of options including seafood, pizza, salads, burgers, and sandwiches. I got the BBQ chicken pizza and it was huge. It was good but the chicken could have been seasoned more, but the crust was super thin and crispy without being burnt which was great. My husband got the Hickory grilled salmon and it was a large piece and cooked well; he enjoyed it. We ordered drinks were were ok. I had a skinny margarita which was so sour I had to ask for some Splenda packets to be able to drink it. The Carolina Whiskey Lush was tastier, and a better choice. However, if looking for a beverage, I recommend a glass of the house wines. For only $6 it was a price performer, a huge glass and good pour.
Decided to go here for dinner as it was near our hotel and reasonably priced. My wife had the wood fired pizza, my son the chicken fingers, and I the honey glazed salmon with grilled asparagus, which was on point. Definitely recommend!
We had a 45 minute wait, then another 45 minutes before we were served. I understand that they were short staffed; however, if everyone around us is. Being served, then why are waiting for so long. I feel like the waitress didn't want to wait on us.
Service was quick and friendly. Do yourself a favor and definitely try the blackened catfish sandwich!
