My first time at this establishment was for a networking event. The staff makes sure you feel welcomed from the moment you walk through the door. The food was great (my compliments to the chef). I even ordered some to take home for later. Bosh and Brooklyn were very accommodating and friendly. I now have a favorite drink (Easy Breezy) that Bosh recommended. This may have been my first time visiting Forty 8 Hundred Restaurant & Lounge but it definitely won't be my last.
We've been here twice for Sunday brunch and its been great. It's kid friendly but we enjoyed dining outside since people do use hookah there. I had the snapper and grits, hubby had the ox tail and hash and the kids had curry fried chicken and waffles. I did not get any pics this visit because we were to busy eating lol. I keep forgetting the servers name but she had blonde locs and she is so sweet and very attentive.
Our server was very sweet and made sure we received excellent service. The food was good. The salmon bites were really good. We went on a Friday night and had a great time!
Came in on a Thursday night. Nice trap groves booming from the main room. Bartender was heavy-handed with the pour, wings were hot, tasty and came out fast. Overall a very nice experience. 8.5/10
The jamaican food tastes amazing! The portion sizes are pretty small for the price though. I was still hungry after eating my curry chicken meal. If they add more meat, cabbage and rice to the plate it'll be 5 stars and I'll be willing to pay the price again.
I had an amazing time ! We went on Sunday around 2-3 , with a party of 6-8. The customer service provided was great, from the manager to the staff. The food was really good , prepared fresh. I had the Oxtail Hash. Hookah is available , mimosas, the decor is modern. The music ranged from current to throwbacks.
Great new restaurant. My server Imani was amazing, the food took a little long, but it was worth the wait. I had the snapper and grits, chicken and waffles and the cheese cake roll, when I tell you that was the best meal I had in years. Charlotte is coming with the vibes.
My friend and I visited this establishment in Sunday, April 3rd. According to the info on Google, they opened at 2pm. We arrived at 2:30pm and the parking lot was already full. When we walked in, it was packed. We were told that it would be a2 hour wait, but seating was available at the bar. We were seated immediately. The servers and wait staff were friendly. They were not dressed appropriately for working in a restaurant/ lounge.We ordered mimosas and an appetizer and our meals. We were watching the bartender make the drinks, which weren't worth the 10 dollars each we paid for them. Instead of using gloves or tongs to pick up the fruit, she used her bare hands and dug through the strawberries to put the garnish on the glass. While waiting for our appetizer, we started noticing that some of the orders were being sent back to the kitchen, which was a red flag for me. We asked the bartender to cancel our food orders and just bring the appetizer. She bright our chicken empanadas out in a takeout container., which were probably sitting for a to go order. The empanadas were underseasoned and dry.I was very disappointed and unimpressed with the place. I'm not sure how big the kitchen was because it was so congested behind the bar. I don't think I would be returning there, especially on a Sunday.
If I could give a zero stars I would . Our experience was an entire hot mess!! We had a conformation email that was not honored in price and bottles. And a gratuity was added when we believed it was included in the section price. The food was very mediocre, there was no presentation at all . I definitely will never go back ..I would definitely not recommend for any event.
It's a really nice place the vibe is chill. I came at 8 pm so i guess it was the dinner menu. Not much to choice from I order the oxtails they were good falling off the bone good literally! but i was only given like 2 of them it didn't really fill me up. Im really only giving it 3 stars because i received my bill and there was a 20% charge saying large party but it was only 2 of us. When i asked, the lady said after 8 they add a 20% gratuity to everything which surprised me because there was no sign no warning or anything, it made my bill wayyyy more I paid over 100 dollars for me and my friend and was still kinda hungry lol.Also i mainly went because of what i seen on IG about the swings and that's off limits they said that's "vip" so we couldn't go over there and take pictures like it was advertised on Insta. But overall it's a nice place. If I do go back I will make sure it's before 8 pm....
