Got right in, no wait which was a pleasant surprise for a saturday morning.Service was friendly and attentive, the questions I had she had no problem finding out the answers for me and even gave me a piece of toast to try because I was indecisive! The bread was fine but definitely not from any local bakeryCoffee was generic and lack luster but I keep my expectations realistic of places like thisThe breakfast was fine, under seasoned but nicely cooked. Fair for the price point and how busy the place was
Everyone is so attentive and friendly!!
my classmates and I went for lunch, we have had great experiences at other locations but we did not have the same at this one. all of our food came out cold, pancake was burnt, wrap was cold and dry (no sauce as described on menu), and the grits were so cold the cheese/butter wasn’t melting. the manager took the wrap off since i didn’t take more than one bite, but he was a bit rude and didn’t really show any interest in the problems we were vocalizing to him and the other staff. sadly it was just not a good experience.
Well, the manager (tall guy, red hair) was rude (tone of voice, & cut me off while I was asking a question about the wait list), so we didn’t spend our money to eat here. Before being put on the wait list, he said there was a strict mask requirement, which is fine, and there are signs that say this. So whatever. Anyway, it’s 35 cents to purchase one. Okay. It's a 35 minute wait. Okay. So I said, "You're good, never mind." He literally shrugged his shoulders and said, "okay," and walked off. Now, this could have had a totally different outcome with a , "Hey ma'am! How are you?!Thank you so much for choosing to eat here. How many people do you have? There's a 35 minute wait for 2 people. Do have a mask to wear?I have a strict mask policy, and if you don't have one, I offer masks for 35 cents per mask." Instead, I couldn't even ask a question because I didn't have on a mask. I was just interrupted with hostility, and it seemed like I was aggravating him. Here’s the part that was strange- Literally, a man walked past the manager and me without one on, and he said nothing. Perhaps he didn’t notice. Then, a whole family walked in without masks and he said NOTHING, and they were put on the wait list ?. Then, my husband walked in right after me (I stayed in the car), without a mask, he was asked “how many?” and was put on the wait list for a 20 minute wait! I was like WHAT! First, how did you even speak in this restaurant without a mask on, AND how did the wait change from 35 minutes to 20 minutes within a 2 minute time frame. I'm just so shocked that I was treated this way. It feels like discrimination against women. My thing is, I see other bad reviews for customer service, here, and the manager is full of excuses for his poor restaurant service instead of just taking responsibility and making it better. Why are you picking and choosing who wears a mask? Either it's a strict mask policy or it's not. Super disappointed. Anyway, couldn’t try the food because of the service. We went down the street to First Watch and it was AWESOME!! First Watch has GREAT customer service and AMAZING FOOD!
It was a decent breakfast. The wait was long because they are short staffed, but who isnt these days. The food was as expected, nothing fancy but good. They have gluten free pancakes which is the only reason we went!
If I could give this place 0 stars for customer service, I would.! I understand it’s New Years and you may be short staff but waiting a full hour for French toast is outrageous. Everyone who came in after us received their food 20-30 minutes before us. The only helpful employee was the the lady with the red skunk stripe in her hair. Overall the food was 8/10. Oh and not to mention we had to pay for our food and tip prior to being seated, so there was no was wrong could have gotten up and left the establishment. I want my tip back.
service, cleanliness, friendliness, food was fresh and delicious..I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and I would recommend it to any and everybody
windows had old food on them look like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. the food was cold when it got to me. 20 bucks no five bucks yes. the servers were nice
Today was my first time visiting Famous Toasters and I was very disappointed. My friend and i stood up front waiting to seated for about 3 min with no greeting whatsoever. After we caught the attention of the so called to inquire about being seated, she told us we could choose our seating. Thinking that she was following behind we choose our table but she apparently returned to her station. After sitting for 8 min, no menu no service we got up and proceeded to walk out. On our way out the Hostess glady says "Have a wonderful day" She didn't even ask why we were leaving. With that being said, even though this establishment is walking distance from my residence, I won't be returning.
I wish I could leave no stars. 0/10. Me and my co worker were very unpleased with our food along with the service. They asked what we wanted on our waffles and didn’t even out the toppings on there but charged us for it. Orange juice was very pulpy. They put oranges as garnish on the eggs. Now what if I had a citrus allergy. My coworker told the waitress that she doesn’t eat oranges and the waitress didn’t even take the plate. Eggs weren’t scrambled. Cheese was hard. The assistant manager didn’t have any remorse whatsoever. The only good part of this place was that we didn’t have to pay due to the poor service that was given.
