Popped in this am. Woman working was pretty rude. In today’s atmosphere I would think a small business would go the extra mile with customer service. She seemed annoyed that I came in to purchase something. Then when I displayed my disappointment…she sarcastically said as I left “thank you you have a nice day” definitely dripping with disdain. I guess I’ll wait for the Starbucks to open up at Harris teeter. Customers are a good thing Crema Espresso!
From the moment I walked into this establishment it immediately felt like the owner did not want me there. My Caucasian boyfriend was greeted and spoken to while I was ignored the entire ordering process. We both ordered crepes where mine happened to be too crispy with barely any contents while his was fine. I told one of the workers about this problem who then notified the manager/owner. Instead of having the decency to come up and apologize about the issue at hand, she chose to yell out across the shop that she’d make me a new one. When it was finished she came to the table with ZERO apology or conversation even after I said thank you. I’ve never been so disappointed with a restaurant in Charlotte like this and will be telling everyone I know about this experience.
Extremely poor customer service. Vanessa told me about the “mask policy’ after I had eaten and finished (and talked to her at length). Her manager made excuses for herThey think this is a mask issue but rather it is a poor customer service issue. They took very long to serve my 2 cookies. So I was already observing. In addition, the manager scolded Vanessa about kissing something (which I saw)- which is why the 2 cookies were so delayed. Then finally they decided to observe the mask policy, after all of this (when I was about to leave).
Cute little coffee shop and dessert spot. The maple pecan latte is amazing! So cozy. Indoor seating/dining available. Tables and chairs available outside on sidewalk as well. Staff is friendly. Highly recommend!
Straightforward, chill spot and the iced coffee and espresso are delicious. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Fast too.
Not all that great or fresh. We ordered some coffee and crepes none were that good. Crepe was soggy, sauce wasn't that good either. Place wasn't super clean service was not very welcoming seeing as they made it a point to let us know they were closing soon and needed to finish up.

Really cute little shop! They have crepes which was unexpected and the latte I had was pretty good. Barista was super friendly and helped us out with the menu. Would return if I lived in Charlotte ??
From entry we felt like the staff thought we didn’t belong. We ordered 3 crepes and 3 coffees. The Staff were rude, disrespectful, exhibited micro aggression and left 2 of our crepes sitting out behind the counter for a long time. When we asked if they were ours, the staff said yes, rolled her eyes and walked away leaving the food behind the counter. Needless to say the 2 crepes were later delivered to our table cold and soggy. Then the third one later arrived hot and crispy so a stark comparison from the 2 cold ones. Giving 1 star because of the third crepe. Very bad experience and will never return. Extremely disappointed and do not recommend.
In response to the review below me, Shelton Mccoy.I'm the manager that you spoke with today.I'm sorry that you had a bad experience at Crema today and that you were unhappy with the amount you were charged. That being said, I find it incredibly rude that you called me disgusting while in the cafe, which you conveniently failed to mention in this review, along with snatching the receipt out of my hand aggressively, causing a scene over a charge for extra sauce and accusing me of not knowing what I was doing. I don't appreciate your dishonesty and disrespect of myself and my work environment. My coworker was very uncomfortable with your confrontational attitude and tone of voice, and to accuse me of being a thief is preposterous and offensive. You yourself were not wearing a mask, so there's no need to be dishonest and say you didn't trust me to make your food because of the pandemic, especially since you've been here before. You were fully refunded. Feel free to speak with the owner, I've already told her what transpired today.The staff and I work hard to ensure that every guest is treated with respect and courtesy, and we expect the same in return.
