The ladies there were wonderful and super nice. We ordered oxtails, curry goat, and ackee and salt fish, potato salad and greens. The ackee and salt fish was really good. The other stuff was just okay.

The atmosphere is great. The people were very, very nice. There's a nice outdoor patio with reggae music playing. They have a smoker for the jerk items. I was super-excited to try this place because of the vibes it was giving off. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered brown stewed chicken with cabbage, rice and peas. The rice and peas were the only thing that were good. The cabbage was basically raw. It was as though they just put it in the pot before I ordered it and instead of telling me the cabbage wasn't ready yet, they gave it to me uncooked ?. The chicken had no flavor. None. The gravy looked perfect, but it had no flavor. I was disappointed. I was only in Charlotte for the weekend so I doubt I'd have the opportunity to give them a second chance. They were very pleasant so I think I would, if I was in the area again.

Ordered through DoorDash and my food was still hot and I greatly appreciate that. I ordered Jerk chicken plate with macaroni & cheese on the side. I wasn’t really a fan of the jerk chicken. The macaroni, rice & peas, and cabbage were great though!

Delicious and family operated. A lot of pescatarian options, only had time to try side options. The plantains were on point. Expect island love, music, and welcoming service. Wide selection of unique beverages and best rum punch ever.

I went on February 12, 2022 the food was not good . I order turkey legs very dry and burnt. Mac & Cheese was bland and greens was bitter. Customer service was good but child was running all over the place and the floor had popcorn all over it.

It's a place to be....well relaxing music is lovely. The food is delicious, i didn't want to leave out of the restaurant but i got work to do but that'll be my after work wine down location ?.

The owner Cocoa came out! She was absolutely delightful! She offered us samples of curry goat, chicken and jerk chicken! All very good! We went with something smaller but will sure to be back during a dinner meal… family business and all are friendly! Atmosphere is very cool too!

Today was my first time eating at this spot. I was kinda Leary because it’s not easy to find GOOD AUTHENTIC Jamaican food in the south. But this food was beyond good it was AMAZING every single bite. And the macc and cheeseI can’t even explain how good that was! The oxtail were nice size and meaty, and down home Jamaican seasoning was definitely used. I mean everything was great the portion sizes we well above average. The rice was cooked perfectly. The owner was very pleasant and respectful. She even ask if I wanted to sample the jerk pork after I asked her was it spicy. The staff was very respectful and welcoming! And to top it off the art work around the store is so cool and intriguing. The most important thing was it was CLEAN and everyone had their masks on.. I recommend going there it also has PLENTY of seating in doors or on the quaint patio

I tried this restaurant for the first time. The very friendly cashier asked if I wanted my oxtails mild and I said yes, however they were very spicy. The menu I was handed and the menu on the wall said oxtails were $18.99. When the cashier rang up $22.00 I questioned her. She was very sweet and told me “they are $22.00 dollars today. Since the prices were hand written on both menus they should reflect the correct price.

We went today the first time with my family. The owner was super sweet. We ordered the jerk chicken meal and it was delicious. She even gave our toddler a free plate with mac and cheese, cheese, some of brown gravy chicken. It was all delicious, we got an additional order to go and the owner even gave us MORE chicken to go. We will be coming back soon!
