The whole experience was great! Customer service is A1. The father & son duo that runs the place are so pleasant and helpful. I always enjoy hearing the friendly banter between them lol, cute.Now on to the food. Excellent. I only was able to snap pics of my onion rings that I ordered (when I visited for the second time the very next day!) because we were too busy scarfing down everything thing else. We had wings with the housemade “Barbalow Sauce” ??? I could drink that stuff man! The owner really needs to consider bottling and selling that stuff. We also tried the Cheesestake sandwich with fries and onions. The sandwich was great and the onion rings….no lie best I’ve ever had! So light and airy and crispy and not incredibly greasy. Coming from NYC, we eat our onion rings with tartar sauce. They don’t have any here but I tried it with their housemade “Chubz Sauce”. Not disappointed! It’s like a thousand island dressing but not as heavy as the bottled stuff.Go and support these guys if you’re in Charlotte! I’ll be back (every day) on my next trip down. Thanks fellas!

Not fast food, made to order. My double burger was steaming hot, a little crispy from the grill. Very good burger, could not finish my cheesy fries.NOTE: mens room has classy inspirational motivational quotes all over.
This hidden gem of Charlotte is worth the drive from anywhere in town. Family run, the chili cheeseburgers and hotdogs are great. They even have side salads if you need a lighter option. Check hours before you go, not open late and not open Sundays.
Loved it! Steven the owner is the friendliest ?. Loves his job and business. He was very patient and helpful in our ordering.The Food was Great . My fiancé and I came into Chubz for the first time today and the food was amazing. The chili burgers and chili dogs tasted heavenly. Steve displayed amazing customer service and answered all of our many questions and for that we’ll definitely be back.
Great burgers at good price! Family owned and operated by Steve and his son. The chili is Steve' special recipe and goes with everthing. I had the number one combo with a double decker burger with chili, lettuce, tomato, cheese and pickles. This order came with fries and Steve made them chili cheese fries since it was my first time there. Delicious!
The food was excellent. I'll start with that. I am visiting from out of state and this was a much better chili cheese dog than what I am used to. The food would be 5 stars.However. I was greeted rudely by the guy who was making orders and ringing me up. After I paid and tipped, he showed no sense of urgency for making my food. I waited for at least 10 minutes, and if he had hustled even 20 percent I would have had my food much sooner.At one point, he took two bites out of a hot dog and went back to the grill without washing his hands. I didn't see him wash his hands a single time between being and the grill and working the register. It was not busy.In an open kitchen, customer perception matters. 1 star.
My wife and I stopped at Chubz Famous Chiliburgers on our way out of town, and our tastebuds will never be the same. The burgers had just enough char to tell you they were grill cooked, but still juicy and flavorful. The homemade chili that was generously slathered on our burgers and fries was magnificent, and the seasoning on the fries was quite complimentary. The staff would banter with each other and the regulars, creating a welcome atmosphere akin to a family gathering. Our only complaint is that the distance from home means we likely won't be returning anytime soon. :(
