I am usually disappointed when I order chicken gizzards anywhere but last weekend I took a chance and chefs kiss the best who ever was cooking last Friday understood the assignment. Not too salty and extra crispy. Same for the cat fish you guys made my day .and customer service on point. Thanks a million
I was hauling asphalt to a job just down the street. Looked like I could get around the building in my dump truck, so I called my order in like Shante W.Plenty of room to drive around the building in the dump truck. My order was just about done when I walked in.I ordered the chicken tenders box with fries and okra. I figured that would be easy to eat while driving. It was so much food the lid didn't want to stay closed on the plate. There was enough food for two people. It was good and it was hot.The next time I am in this area, I will probably try this place again.The people working were great. Polite and friendly.
Not everyone can fry chicken. hubby and I stopped to grab a bite to eat. OMG.... We both got the whole 4 wings with 2 sides. I got fried okra and fried squash. Yes sir/yes ma'am delicious ?????? Husband had same wings 2 sides of hush puppies. We got our money's worth and some. We will most definitely come back.
Never stopped before because that corners seemed kinda shady. But after reading all the great reviews, we decided to take out after visit to DMV. On average the reviews we a solid 4 to 4.25.Placed order thru drive thru. At register I asked if ranch dressing came with it. She said yes. We waited a bit for the cook to order which wasn’t too longI ordered chicken livers & gizzards, veggies for sides. I asked that the livers and gizzards be cooked soft. Livers weren’t over cooked but the gizzards were so hard. The breading so salty on both they were inedible! My husband ordered fish. It was a bit salty & over cooked.Check your food before you drive off along with your receipt apparently asking if it comes with a condiment means they add another and charge you.$26.00 bill for drive thru lunch wasn’t worth it if the order is inedible. Being 15 mins away I wasn’t going back. But I gave it a try but not going back. Perhaps those who order chicken here have never been to Price’s chicken coop that closed after being in business for decades. Such a hole in the wall they didn’t even have seating but their chicken was the best. Sorry chicken king but epic fail for me
This is thee best chicken king. From the customer service to of course the food. I get the same thing every time I come and they are CONSISTENT. That flounder and popcorn shrimp combo is my fave.
My wife and I dined in today and the food was great! I had the catfish & shrimp with fried okra & squash. My wife had the flounder, fried okra & squash. The ladies were very courteous and nice. We’ll be paying them another visit when we come back to Charlotte. Keep up the good work!!
I placed my order over the phone everyone was helpful and pleasant. The biggest head nod, is the actual food. I got chicken, mac and baked beans. Top Tier, it took me a while to find a spot that just fried chicken this way and this place is it. It will be my go to spot when its time for some soul food.
I ordered via door dash, when my order arrived I was disappointment that the food was cold to the touch, chicken strips were dry and hard. Then I opened my meal only to find my hotdog wrapped in a hamburger bun. I wasn't expecting this from Chicken King. So disappointed.
I ordered from this restaurant thru Postmates without ever hearing or knowing about it and OMG IM SO GLAD I DID!!! Greek pita was amazing and so fresh even at 8:30pm. Hush puppies & fries were great. Homemade lemon cake….. a 10/10 situation. I will 100% be ordering again and maybe even stop in if I’m over that way.
