Ella made us a beautiful cake for our wedding day. It was absolutely delicious and we made sure to pack up what was left so we could finish it on our honeymoon!! The cake was beautiful, exactly what I was envisioning and was at an amazing price! I loved it and cannot thank her enough for such an amazing addition to our special day!
My wedding cake from Celestial was yummy, and gorgeous. We did a half bride, half groom cake, and they pulled it off! I recommend the champagne cake...YUM! Their tasting process is also a cute take home kit that gives you the opportunity to taste several cake options and frosting options. Only negative was that we had to pick up the cake and transport it ourselves.
Ella is incredibly knowledgeable of what she does! We were looking for a vendor who would make a beautiful cake but also have a delicious flavor and from the very first consultation I knew she was our pick! We had a COMPLETE custom cake order and she was able to deliver on every detail! Many other places are more like semi-custom where you have to pick from specific flavors or combinations, or they make beautiful cakes but the taste is not good. Ella understood exactly what we wanted and was able to price us over that, make a beautiful cake AND deliver a delicious Almond cake with our pick of liquor! Everyone loved it!! She will also place flowers on the cake so it was a complete stress free deliver the day of! Thank you so much!!!
My wedding was April 2, 2022 and was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. Everything was going great until I turned and looked at my cake with such shock. My original cake design was smooth with green flowers as decoration. With the original cake design, Ella approved it and never mentioned that I had to provide the flowers/decor for the cake. I then changed the design of my cake on February 2, 2022 to the pictured baby shower cake with the brown flowers etc. Ella again approved this design with no mention that I had to provide any flowers, decor, etc. So, to my surprise during my wedding reception I had the displeasure of cutting the white and green cake pictured. I paid $750 for a cake that looked like it belonged at a child’s birthday party. I could tell the design of the cake had no effort put into it at all and was rushed. My guests didn’t even bother to really eat the cake. I reached out to Ella and she stated that since she has no access to fresh flowers it was basically up to me to provide them (this was never communicated before the wedding and nor the day of when she dropped it off). She basically dropped the cake and left while I was getting ready for my day. She did offer a refund of about 35% of the total cost but I do not believe the cake I received was worth more than $250. If you do decide to book Celestial Cakery for your wedding please be sure to make sure Ella is putting in the work as she does for cakes that she posts on social media and wins awards for because this was definitely not a $750 cake.Update: It seems I can’t post an honest and true review in regards to my experience on what was the best day of my life without being harassed and threatened by the business owners via email and Google. I 100% wasn’t told ANYTHING about providing flowers, and now am to blame about the cake I received. I feel it is my right to give an honest and true review regardless if I was refunded or given an apology. All of the reviewers who commented were actual consumers as well and consumed the product provided.
Beware before ordering from them. They did my friend so wrong on her wedding day at the beginning of April, 2022. It was the audacity for me, for them to even drop this off! I normally don’t leave Google reviews, but this was absolutely ridiculous, so I must! I can’t believe they would do this to someone on their wedding day. I have attached pictures to show you all how serious they take their craft. What she ordered vs what she received. There is no excuse for this! I am still appalled.** UPDATE 4/16/2022. I left a Google review earlier this week. I would like to point out that I have a law degree, I work at a law firm and I am very familiar with the law and my first amendment rights. My friend and I are now being asked our home addresses, harassed and threatened because we left honest Google reviews. This is not defamation at all. Nothing that was said was false information. Leaving a Google review is not against the law. I have left many online reviews on various platforms and I have never experienced anything like this. Again, I have studied law and I currently work in the legal field. All the best to the owner and their business moving forward.
Think twice before ordering from this bakery! My cousin ordered her wedding cake from here and we had really high hopes as the owner guaranteed that she would be able to carry out the vision for her very big day! On the big day, we were highly disappointed to say the least.The cake looked absolutely nothing like what we inquired, instead, it looked like it belonged at a toddler’s birthday party. No bride should have to experience such disappointment on a once in a lifetime event! It is truly unfortunate that we were not able to experience the nice cakes that are posted on social media.
If I could leave ZERO stars I would. One of my closest friends had her big day ruined due to lack of professionalism and expertise. She requested for a cake to be made with textures & floral arrangements which Ella guaranteed she could do. On the day of the wedding Ella dropped the cake off and did not assist with displaying it. The cake was COMPLETELY different than what was requested. The cake appeared to be for a toddlers birthday party instead of a wedding, maybe there was a mix up… Ella did not make any accommodations after the wedding to satisfy the distraught bride. I do no recommend going here unless it is for a child’s birthday party!!
No need to write a long drawn out review. The proof is in the pictures. What the bride asked for and received confirmation for, and what she received.The wrongdoing is further justified by accounts affiliated to Celestial Cakery making reviews that are a conflict of interest and not from real consumers. Shame on you all.
Highly disappointed - this bakery came highly recommended. I ordered a cake tasting to my surprise I was given CUPCAKES . None of my cupcakes were tasted as if they were baked today. How would you expect someone to pay$ 800- $1000 for a custom wedding cake when the cupcakes were the samples ,dry, not fresh and lacking flavor! Overall i was not satisfied. I will not recommend any bride to have their cake made here!
Amazing job! the cake and cupcakes were so delicious!!! we wanted a simple wedding cake and they delivered exactly what I wanted I couldn't have asked for a better looking or tasting cake and the cupcakes were a great addition I recommend them to anyone I know getting married. It was one of the first wedding cakes I've had that actually taste as amazing as they look!
