Went here for my 50th birthday! The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice! I was on a hunt for oxtails as usual. My sister called and asked if they had oxtails. The woman that answered said that they had ox tails everyday. SUPER YUMMY at a fair price! The natural ginger punch washed it down well. This place was worth my trip from Winston Salem! I highly recommend this place!

Taste so delicious meat so tender spice oh so nice. Perfection that's what this place is. Please tell the cook thank you and thank the cooks parents and grandparents. Real Jamaican food

$27 for a piece a snapper that barely have meat on it. I never saw a fish so skinny and want to charge this price. I remember why I stop coming here.

This restaurant never disappoints on portion size, reasonable prices, and good food. Vegan friendly.

The owner is rude EVERY time I come to this location... for no reason. Went in to purchase curry goat for the first time in about a year from them. Last time I came it was $16 for a large. Was charged $25 last night for the same dish. Didn't expect that. The price says "market price" on the menu. They should warn you that they inflated the price by $10. On top of that the goat was UNDERCOOKED. Had to fight the meat to come off of the bone. I used to love this place but I don't think I'll be returning to this location.

Went in because I miss Jamaican food.Where I’m originally from the Jamaicans have it on lock ! I thought the same when I came here. Walked in to no greetings just stares. (Jamaicans aren’t known for their customer service) so I expected this. But still! Wanting to order curry chicken. Girl ask white or brown…she was rushing me through the whole process could’ve really ask any questions. The curry wasn’t curry, very bland. I didn’t finish it . Threw it out. Terrible overall

Looking for some authentic Jamaican food ? The Caribbean Hut is where it’s at, they have been around for some time now but this is your reminder to re visit .They have 4 locations with two being here in Charlotte, one in Gastonia & the other in Clemson . Be sure when you go to try out their in house juices I fell in love with the Sorrel flavor which is a Jamaican flower, I’m obsessed with ginger and I could taste a lot of ginger in this drink .They have other juices in house such as sea moss & more .We lucked up and were able to try their famous curry shrimp with coconut milk and great balls of fire that dish alone sparked all my foodie needs for that day. Also tried the steamed snapper which was super flavorful, the oxtail were some of the best I have had in a long time. The jerk chicken hit the spot as well and I felt like a fat rat when I left lol .

Anyone know the spices they use for the Oxtails??? Live in Australia and visited this City and restaurant and the food was delicious. My country does not have cuisine like this so my husband wants to try to make it at home. Please share your spices used to season the oxtail and back that delicious sauce. Thank you ?

I'm writing this not because of the food quality, I'm writing this because I live over an hour away and I don't come to Charlotte very often. Me and my wife were excited to stop by and grab a few patties and some curry chicken because it had been months since we last ate authentic jamaican food. It wasnt busy at all when we came in so we ordered a large curry chicken, two patties and two ginger beers to go. I repeated the order and went to the restroom then came back out to pay. The food wasnt shown to us and was just closed and bagged up. We drove the 80 minutes home excited to devour our curry chicken, only to get home to find a plate full of jerk. Me and my wife do not do well with spicy food and were very VERY upset bc we were to far away to have turned around and have our order corrected. I know people make mistakes but in this case we feel as though we wasted our money after waiting all day to eat something specific. I've championed Carribean Hut for years and I feel let down...

came during a jam packed saturday night. food was supposed to be ready at 6:13 we hadn’t picked the combo (which comes with 2 flavors) so the order wasn’t ready at the time (no problem for the wait they have some spots off to the pickup side to sit. the food was made super quick. Employees are friendly even though they’re all running around like crazy to fulfill orders. employee I spoke with was friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had. All employees were masked around the food, I appreciate even in a hot kitchen they were taking cautions for customer safety. Food was very good!!! will be returning and definitely recommend.
