We eat here when able, typically every month or so. May favorites are the fried chicken (best in Charlotte I think) and the red beans & rice. Other family favs are the crawfish étouffée, sandwiches, frequent seafood specials, and the side items such as the fried okra or the lightly pickled cucumbers (spicy). If need more spice ask for the Dog Sauce (not left on tables). Can fill up quickly as not a large restaurant.

An absolute wonderful experience!!! Boyfriend found this place on some underrated places in Charlotte and we checked out... and were definitely impressed. The food was delicious, the service was terrific. Definitely coming here again.

This place is amazing! A hidden gem in Charlotte. Food is so flavorful and prices are just right. I got the bbq shrimp, blackened salmon, smothered cabbage and grits. I did take out and was just as good as if I sat in the restaurant.

My All time favorite place to Dine! A cozy New Orleans vibe. Great for special occasions, An Array of menu choices will satisfy the picky eaters too. Our waitress, Debbie has the best personality and will make you feel right at home! The food is definitely cooked with love!

Love the food. Should have gotten a picture of the gumbo starter I had, deviled eggs and the banana bread pudding was to die for. I went by this place for years thinking it was a hotdog place and never looked at it twice. Wish I had been told it was a Creole dining establishment before now. Will be going back to try some of the other things in the menu soon enough.

This place has been around forever. Great Cajun food. The po' boys must be tried, great bread and large serving sizes (for all dishes I've had).

Honestly a one star is too nice. The crab cakes was blend not enough crab more batter then anything and no season and it just take like flour and bread crumb. The seafood jambalaya had no rice I was mostly tasting the sauce / gravy mix ( it’s not supposed to be gravy mix). On top of that nothing was season ! My girlfriend got chicken and seafood jambalaya and it was just blend and didn’t taste right. The blackberry cobbler was hard as a ROCK. Literally the ONLY thing that was good was the ice cream that came with the blackberry cobbler. Not to mention the restaurant smell like dirty mop water. The only reason why I didn’t turn around and go back cause I live 45 mins away worst experience.

I got there about 5:15PM on Saturday and i thought I would free up a table and just eat at the bar as there were not too many people there. Bad Idea. I ordered chicken jambalaya because how long could it take. We went from no one at the bar to at least 2 deep as people arrived for pick-up orders (which were not ready) and they sent people bar to wait on tables. Left before the food came as it appeared it was still going to take a while and I really didn't want un-masked people breathing on my food. If you have not had Covid yet, I would avoid the place as they do not practice crowd control.

First visit. Very good. The food is prepped to order so don’t expect a quick turnaround from order to table. But it was well worth it. Food was piping hot. I could have eaten 3 servings of the green beans almondine! We will definitely go back!
