I'm a sucker for food & I LOVE trying new things. I stopped by to try the beer battered shrimp tacos & got the avocado pasta salad..ALL the ingredients are super fresh & I enjoyed the salsa with chips..very unique..Definitely coming back ??

Cabo Fish Taco raves to have the "BEST" fish tacos on the east coast so obviously I had to make a trip down to Charlotte and put them to the test. I'll start with service, excellent, I love a cantina that'll drop chips and salsa with the water ?. Decorum; it is a cool space, not over the top and trying to hard but just enough that you can feel relaxed while you're there. Drinks; meh...these were just okay, there really wasn't much presentation to them, pint glass with salt, lime and a straw. Onwards to the food...we got the honey glazed salmon/lemon pepper shrimp, and beer battered white fish options. The salmon sadly under performed missing the mark on what it could've been to what it actually was. The shrimp ??, full of flavor, I'd definitely get this one again without question. Lastly, the beer battered white fish was doughy and bland, you can skip this one. We each got the plantain sides which were okay just a bit over cooked. So... at the end of the day, did they have the best fish tacos on the east coast?? NOPE, not even close, but the shrimp tacos put them somewhere in the top 100. ?

Decent enough food, tacos were good but the sides were alright if that. (the potato jalapeno one wasn't even eaten past a bite) The meal was ok, but for the quality, its a bit overpriced. The service was good though

Great place. Love to get the beer battered shrimp tacos every time I come to Charlotte. They are great. Tried the calamari which was also great. I'd also like to take this moment to rave about our server, Jeremy R. He was very attentive and on top of his section the entire time we were there. He performed his job effortlessly and flawlessly.

Bar stools were super uncomfortable, food was ok but a lot spicier without a heads up in the menu which resulted in my wife not being able to eat the meal she ordered. Service was decent and the staff were nice which is the biggest reason for 3 stars instead of lower.

We stopped in on our way to Winston-Salem and had a pleasant experience. This is the flagship restaurant in NoDa. We were not super excited with the food we ordered but we were not disappointed either. We ordered the salsa trio and I was expecting to see chunky salsas with pineapple and mango chunks or tomatillo tomato bits but it was puréed. The roasted red tomato salsa tasted like marinara. The green tomatillo salsa was ok. We added hot sauce to each. We also ordered and shared a steak fajita. The steak was cut into tiny bird size pieces like it belonged in a burrito or taco, and the peppers and onions were sparse. We liked the tortillas but were disappointed in the lack of steak and fresh veggies. Overall I would go back and perhaps try one of the fish specialties. Service was good and the IPA was excellent.

I came here because it was featured on Food Network. Food is great, service was excellent. 10/10 would recommend anyone who likes seafood. My personal favorite is the honey soy glazed salmon taco w/ avocado pasta salad

I've lived in Charlotte for 9 years and have only visited this place once. Honestly I was not pressed to go back. A friend wanted to grab tacos on a Wednesday night so we went. We arrived around 7:45 and the place was not packed. We decided to sit at the bar. The Tequila selections were skimp (I assume due to the shortage). Brandon worked the bar. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. I ordered The Lemon Grilled Shrimp and Soy Ginger Shrimp Tacos. My friend ordered the BBQ Mahi and Soy Ginger Shrimp Taco as well. My side of choice was mashed potatoes. I must say I was very impressed. It was so good! Let's just say I wont wait another 5+ years to visit again. I will be putting this place in my regular rotation.
