I found BW Sweet from a Facebook page and visited for the first time in March 2021. I fell in love at first bite. I decided to order my wedding cake from them and did without any issue. Frankie customer services was amazing and so is his staff. I never had any issues and they even worked with me on last minute delivery. I want to thank you all so much for making my day even more special and please don't ever change your butter pecan cake recipe. See you all soon!!
Thank you BW Sweets Bakery. Your customer service was excellent and my son loved his birthday cake. The lemon flavor was moist and delicious.
Update: One of the co-owners called me within an hour to apologize for my experience and to assure me that measures are being taken for improvement. I appreciate the call. I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. I didnt give 5 stars due to the time I loss today. On Friday, June 10, 2022, I placed an online order for a half dozen doughnuts. I requested specific assorted doughnut flavors. The online order was place at 12:53p with an ASAP time request. I arrived at 4:00pm and the doughnuts were not ready. I was told that the doughnuts are being boxed up which took 10mins. I arrived home to stale doughnuts and a selection of doughnuts the store wanted to give me without a heads up. I attempted to call the store only to get a pre-recoded message making it impossible to get to a live person to discuss the issue. This is not the first time I recieved poor customer service at this location. However, this is my first time i complained because I was proud that this is a black owned establishment. Please do better. It is too much competition to treat people like you're doing them a favor by shopping at your establishment.
I sent the details of the cake I wanted via the order form for my daughter’s 13th birthday dinner. I stated I wanted a pink cake since that is her favorite color with gold drip and macarons which are also her favorite and strawberry cake. I told them I wanted the number 13 on the cake and I used the number 13 candles to light as well. This was my first time using this bakery. The cake came out beautiful. Her friends, restaurant staff and even other patrons loved the cake. It was better than expected. The cake flavor is also good and the cake is moist. The only slight minor thing was that I paid a deposit but then my card was charged again 2 days later and the initial deposit charge was a pending charge for 7 days with my bank. I did not understand the need for a pending charge and a charge for the same amount. I reached out to the bakery via the email we had been using for correspondence to inquire why and then heard back after I told them the pending charge was released after a week. There wasn’t an explanation as to why or an apology..just an “ok great”! . That would be my reason for not giving 5 stars. A concern, explanation or apology goes a long way especially in business. Other than that, the cake was beautiful and tasted good. I would use them again if I would receive an explanation on the charge and pending charge.
A delightful experience! I was helped by Chris, who possesses magnificent patience. I tend to get overwhelmed and take a loooooong time deciding, and when I tell you this man is patient! Eventually choose 2 pineapple coconut slices, one banana pudding cheesecake and a strawberry filled strawberry crunch donut. Sat & enjoyed the donut and one pineapple slice before I left. The donut was fully FILLED and delicious. The pineapple coconut slice, good lawd!!! A charming atmosphere and pleasant staff. My second visit, after some months on a sugar fast...lol.
I have been visiting since last Summer. I was thrilled to have found a place to buy delicious cheesecake at a decent price. The best part is the fact that this is a black owned business! Sadly, the quality has steadily went down. If you get to a point of throwing cheesecake in the trash, it's time to move on. Hopefully, they will go back to their old recipes because what they have now will not sustain.
Carrot cheese cake was amazing. The customer service was so great. You could tell the employees are always friendly based on the conversations and interactions with other customers.I am only in town for a few days but if I run out of sweets I will be back.
The food was real good they sell a variety of cookies ,cakes and brownies ect.
Love our neighborhood bakery. They have so many choices of cake slices. I went to get a variety of slices to take to a holiday party. Their full sized cakes are so creative, follow them on Instagram to see the amazing creations.
My most recent experience with BW Sweets Bakery, was the most sour, repugnant, unprofessional experience I’ve ever encountered with a business. Early fall, I visited Charlotte from Texas and was gifted a red velvet cake for my birthday. The cake was admittedly amazing, and I returned home to Texas to share with my family. My husband raved about the cake, who isn’t easily impressed or a red velvet fan. We could’ve made the choice to patronize any of the thousands of bakeries locally, but decided to place an order with a BW for the Thanksgiving holiday. My online order was placed on 11/16 via their website which directed me to Clover, a 3rd party site. There was no way for me to enter my address, or shipping information, but my payment info was provided and a confirmation given. I called the store and spoke with Stephanie who took down my info. I inquired about the shipping cost, and Stephanie advised that they didn’t know the cost to ship my items off hand. I was guaranteed to receive an invoice that night with a total. I would’ve imagined a successful business established in 2011, with 3 locations would surely have an algorithm for shipping down to a science, but I digressed. FAST FORWARD..9 days later, 10 outgoing calls placed, speaking with less than enthusiastic “general manager” Siri, and she being more clueless, dry and rude after every phone call…receiving an invoice a week from placing the initial order… being told my items would be overnighted to arrive the day before thanksgiving, as requested..them STILL not showing up…and placing a call to BW SWEETS BAKERY ON THANKSGIVING DAY and no one has any details on our order or if it was ever prepared..there has still been no resolve. I was told that my order “may” arrive, but they didn’t have shipping info, a tracking number and couldn’t contact who shipped the order, but it may have been shipped through a 3rd party Facebook company?!?? Oh..okay ?. I was offered a refund and encouraged to email Siri. Unless I’m trying to summons Siri my Apple assistant, It’ll be a no. This is an example of a business who’s primary focus is being profitable, while customer service takes a back seat, let alone not even in the car! Customer service is being run over by the car. The owner or whoever is responsible for training, needs to stress the importance of proper communication, being thorough, basic order taking skills, follow through, follow up, empathy..etc. Our Black owned businesses need to do better..we do our own the worse! Get your house in order BW.
