We just ordered the pulled pork plate that comes with 2 sides (Mac n cheese & bbq beans…both were very bland) & 3 small oblong hush puppies. There was no bread. $16.66 total & we did not order a drink. The food was ok, but the meat portion very small! Not worth it at all & the worst part was that the staff was borderline rude..no people skills or customer service at all…felt like you were bothering them by ordering a meal
Passable breakfast sandwiches for an airport
Nice place to get some BBQ while waiting for a flight at CLT. Food is good, and the portions are good as well. The only thing about this place that's I don't like is the prices. Eating at This place will cost you. But of course it is at an airport....
One worst run BBQ joints in state NC! Place is CONSTANTLY out of everything (including but not limited to BBQ and even BBQ sauce) and service horrible too. What they have mastered is hiring incredibly rude associates who literally could give two figs and rude as H to customers. Lady in front of me asked server, what do you recommend? Guy working, no clue - I would never eat at this place. LOL. Talk about hole, highly DO NOT recommend this dive.
Stopped for lunch before a flight and our family of 4 ahared the 3 meat platter. We had the chicken, brisket and pulled pork with the greens and mac and cheese. I thought it was a great BBQ meal for an airport restaurant. The meat was succulent and the sauce was paired with it nicely. Topped it off with a tasty slice of pecan pie. Recommended!
I should not judge BBQ out of town in memphis its just not fair. They had good good and ok prices and it was fast, not the freshest but not bad.
Honestly, coming from California I've mythologized BBQ from across the country where they supposedly know more than we do of the slow and low secrets. That mythology was proven to be nothing more than myth today, however. I saw zero smoke ring, I tasted zero smoke flavor. There was no bark, the fat was not rendered, and the meat wasn't even chopped across the grain. I had to use not only a knife, but I had to use sauce to give this jellied lump of protein any flavor. The only redeeming features were the sides. The collards were tender but not mushy and incredibly flavorful. The fried okra was delightful, and the sauce added much needed flavor to the flavorless que and moisture to the dry hush puppies.2/5 - I might come back if it was the only thing open, but only for the sides.
Solid Airport choice. If you’re in the mood for BBQ or brisket I recommend. Plenty of sides to choose from & the food is cooked and prepared which is convenient.
This should not be the representative BBQ joint people coming through Charlotte eat at! The food was sitting out obviously all day. The brisket was hard and tough like pot roast. The pork on top of the serving container had started to turn dark and get hard.I have lived in Eastern NC and in South Carolina. I know BBQ and what it should be and this was ABYSMAL! I wouldn't feed this to my dog.
It’s pricey like most other restaurants at airports but was all good quality food. Plenty of seating across the area. Recommended
