My husband and I went to Bonchon for our cheat meal and it was an absolute disaster. We ordered 20 half and half wings with seasoned fries. There were two young ladies sitting behind us that ordered wings and drums. The waiter brought out our fries, but the wings never came. The two ladies behind us received an order of chicken. About 5 or so minutes go by and we hear the two ladies behind us say that they ordered wings and drums, but they received half and half wings. My husband and I watched the waiter take the wings from their table, sit the wings on the bar, talk the other waiter about something then bring those same wings over to us. My husband told him that we weren’t taking those wings because we knew where they had been. We asked if we needed to pay for the tea and fries that we’d consumed. He asked us to meet him at the front counter. We went there and explained to an older lady at the counter what happened. She said that she would get the manager. The manager came out and asked what happened. My husband explained again and asked if we needed to pay for the tea and fries because we weren’t going to pay for the chicken. He said to us, “I don’t want any commotion”. Firstly, we weren’t causing any “commotion”. We simply said that we not going to ingest any food that had passed through so many hands and people. Can you say COVID is still a very real thing? We even offered to pay for the items that we did have. It’s extremely disheartening that those are the practices of any place providing food and that’s just what we actually saw. Can you imagine what happens in the back? I caution anyone considering the Bonchon in Pineville to think twice before dining there.
Extremely disappointed. Wings had no flavor other than very little sauce. Mind u $15 for min 10 wings. Spicy dishes beware. I love spice and heat (keep scotch bonnet pepper sauce in my fridge) but there literally was no other flavor or balance. Just extreme heat. Didn't even take my left overs.
My first time having Korean food and it was amazing! We ordered the soy wings, garlic fries, spicy tacos and a noodles bowl it was amazing, server was very friendly and did a great job of running the floor by herself!
Delicious! It's one of our favorite places. Everything was delicious and service was fast!
Came with a party of 7 for lunch... ordered our food and 45 minutes later we still didn't have what we ordered. Didn't receive any empathy for the fact we wasted our lunch and time. Bonchon needs to go back to take out only until they have enough staff to check in on their patrons that decide to eat inside. Overpriced seasoned fries that were not worth the price by any stretch of imagination. Will not repeat
Terrible customer Service! I called in my order at 12:50 PM , went to pick up at 1:15 PM…come to find out my order was never made by the lady on the phone. She said we will make it now, so I waited another 15 minutes for my order to be ready. Absolutely no apologies we’re given for not placing my order, I asked for a discount for waiting 40 minutes! The server stated oh everyone’s order takes 20 minutes at least… but ended up giving me a 10% discount…still no apology when that’s all I really wanted! I was a regular until today, I definitely won’t be going back! AND the food is also extremely mediocre!
Loved every bite...... My family really enjoyed their self we traveled for a hour to eat with you guys and you didn’t let us down…. We will be returning ?
This is one of my favorite places to eat. Everything is good here. The japchae is super filling and flavorful. The bulgogi is savory and satisfying. The kimchi is tart with the perfect amount of spice. The wings are crispy and covered in the tastiest sauce. The tteokbokki is spicy enough to make me sweat, but is so good, I ignore the burn for the sake of the chewy bites of perfection that are the rice cakes. The banana makgeolli is hands down my favorite alcoholic beverage. I genuinely have never had a bad experience here. I always recommend Bonchon to my friends and family.
Bonchon has never disappointed! I don't even know where to begin. Their drums are so crunchy and delicious, the kimchi is absolutely amazing, their japchae is perfectly cooked along with the bolgogi. I'm very picky about coleslaw and my husband ordered the kimchi coleslaw to-go for himself and I tried it...I'll be ordering that again lol. I hope this review gets some attention and make them some money! They truly have great food. We will definitely be back soon.
Bonchon fried chicken is a nice switch up from traditional fried chicken and they make your food fresh after you order which is a plus. The seasoned fries were crispy but really did not have any flavor and they over charge for the season fries and onion rings but they are not bad just not seasoned well. I would definitely eat here again but not often because the prices are a little high....a quick lunch is a minimum of $20 for one person.
