Scotch egg was dry and way overcooked. Bangers and mash, sausages were ok, side of veggies tasted like frozen veggies and the cook was way overdone.
After a disappointing initial experience with the Big Ben Pub, I decided to give it another try and I'm glad I did. Big Ben has a great menu including its drink beer, wine and cocktail menu. The Beg Ben fish and chips and bangers and mash were both large portions and tasty. The only disappointment was that they were out of Smithwick's, my favorite British beer.
My wife and I have been going to Big Ben for years. I don't find anything outstanding there; however, they do most things well, and the price is reasonable.
Food was great, service was a little slow but not to bad.
When we sat down and the table was completely off balance I should have know it was gonna be a bad experience. Me and my wife ordered salad appetizers and the lamb roast dinner. The first thing to come out was my lamb roast with my salad which was pretty disappointing as I would have liked my salad first as, well an appetizer.. At that point my wife had no food then got her salad some minutes later. The waitress was nowhere to be found for sometime, restaurant was practically dead, then we she finally came back we asked where my wifeâs lamb roast was. She proceeded to tell us that she never put in that order and thought my wife only wanted salad⦠So them my wife switch to something fast. Fish and Chips. Once I finally got to my roast dinner every was cold and disappointing. Place is seriously a mess and we will not be back. We came there to celebrate moving to London and is was not what we were going for at all. Fail.
The newer location isn't as "charming" as the original location, but they did a great job with the updated menu, and the food was still delicious. I love all the futbol decor too. Nice location for pre-match food and drinks.
We celebrated a friendâs birthday and had a delicious meal, some great beers and excellent service.
More menu choices than the average British/Irish pub. Food was very good. Service cordial & quick. Noise level high due to hard surfaces, TVs & chatter - fine with us. Pleasant experience

Temperature to cold, because of this we moved 3 times. One other group there, wine served in plastic cup! was given a wine glass when requested! We liked the old location much better. As well as being cold temp, the furnishings were metal, did not help any. 2 of us ordered Fish / chips, fish was dry. Apparently there was a soccer game in the afternoon, lots of people there to watch game on TV. Don’t think we will go back any time soon. There is no similarity to a British pub.
