Food is good and we are regular customers. But today’s experience was not good customer service. I ordered red curry for takeout and while at pickup by mistake they had made green curry. I realized it there itself and they said they will remake my order and asked to wait for 15 mins. I had to pickup something else so I went back and came back in 15 to get my order. Asked for a discount, since I had to come twice for my order which was also delayed due to the snafu. Front staff consulted manager lady who said since I didn’t go back with my wrong order and they corrected it immediately No discount. So what I am expected to pickup my wrong food, go home and then come back to correct my order in order to get discount? Such rude behavior and very bad customer service experience.
Mediocre food for much too high a price. Additionally, the staff is elitist and rude. Most of the time, the restaurant is empty, and they will refuse to seat you. Not worth the trip. Also, their hours of operation are super inconvenient. Literally go anywhere else besides this place!!!On the other hand, Thai Orchid is an amazing restaurant closer to uptown. Great prices and spectacular food. The staff is super welcoming and knowledgeable.
We ordered to go as we have been doing for 2 years from this place, somehow this time food was really bad tasteless Prik King chicken was watered down and did not taste anything like how it use too. Chicken Satay was completely burnt my daughter who loves it couldn’t even eat one bite. So I called the restaurant and the manager Diane was so busy that wouldn’t not even help me. She asked her staff to take my info and said she would pass it to owner and till date I have not received any phone call from owner or management. I called again after a couple of days not hearing from them spoke to Diane again and the response, I got was you’ll have to wait for the owner to call and if you didn’t like our food, you can stop coming at our place. Unfortunately, we paid the order in cash this time and I have no way of getting my money back and as you can see in the picture, we paid $60 for the food that we threw away
I wish my stomach was bigger so I could fit more food in me! This place is fantastic. The wait staff was very friendly, informative, and quick. I would recommend the Pad Thai or Basil Noodle Soup!
flavorful food ??, fast service & great ambience
Service was fabulous. It's just that the host seemed a bit confused when. people where coming in, which is understandable if they are new or have not been trained. I was excited to try the Asian pear martini but I didn't taste any pear. I did like the food I ordered, the plate was huge, truly enough for 2 people.
The best Pad Thai anywhere. So good I rarely order anything else. Very nice and clean facility, friendly staff, reasonably priced. Can sometimes be a wait to get in (which is a good sign obviously). One of my go-to spots and I've been eating at the two Charlotte locations since Uptown first opened.
Sadly shocked by their lack of customer service. We used to love this place, but it’s definitely not what it used to be. The food is far too expensive now anyways. There are other and better Thai places close by that we now prefer.
Ordered to go due to dining room being closed. It’s so heartbreaking to hear that they are struggling to find staff so they only do to go orders now.Support them if you are wanting Thai food. Excellent portion size & taste. We will continue to support them
I will admit, I was a little nervous when upon greeting us, we were told only one server was working tonight (the joys of COVID) However, between that one amazing server and a manager, you’d never know they were so short staffed!! The service was among the best I’ve experienced in a long time. The food was outstanding! I also ordered some specialty cocktails that were made perfectly by the bartender. We didn’t have to wait for anything and were completely taken care of, start to finish. Basil is quickly becoming my favorite Thai and one of my favorite overall restaurants in Charlotte.
