I love this restaurant! The food is delicious. My favorite dishes are the jellof rice and the suya. The staff is very polite and attentive. Great customer experience overall. I highly recommend African Kitchen if you're looking for good eats!
Beautiful, warm, and welcoming environment, Tasty food, especially the goat meat egusi soup which I had. The pepper was on point; not too hot, mild and felt good. I felt proud that the owner was Nigerian lol. Great service in general.
We are a family of 8 with one teenager who is native Nigerian. We wanted to bring him to a restaurant serving his favorite dishes and our family was delighted to share in his culture. The owners were very nice and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to coming back
This was my husband and I’s first time coming here and I would definitely recommend. The staff were attentive and kind and the food was fresh. The flavors were amazing!! We ordered several different things from the menu and were very satisfied. 10/10 recommend
I can't get enough of this restaurant. Their food is tasty and fresh and the customer service is bomb.Their bar prices are affordable too, I highly recommend this spot.
We tried the fish pepper soup for the first time last night and the food was freshly cooked and very tasty. Overall an excellent meal and great value, will certainly be going back.
I visited African Kitchen while working a delivery for a food delivery platform. First and foremost, the owner was patient and understanding with a payment issue the platform was having. Then, I noted his genuine interest in the customer I was delivering for and their choice of food...explaining that the way a customer prefers their food can be indicative of where they are from. This type of dialogue and attentiveness goes a long way in making customers want to continue patronage at any establishment. At some point during our exchange, I told the owner I’ve never had African food before and on my way out he graciously offered me chicken and jollof rice. When I got home, my boys and I dug in! The chicken was seasoned just right and the rice was soft and flavorful. Chicken and rice is a staple comfort dish in many cultures; African Kitchen proved this would be no different while also being unique to the “typical” chicken and rice! I’m looking forward to returning with my family and trying more dishes!
Delicious African food! The jollof rice and fried plantains were amazing! I am so happy we have an authentic African restaurant in Charlotte.
Great restaurant. Good vibes I recommend anyone coming to charlotte to make sure they stop by and taste authentic Nigerian food.
I love the food here!! The jollof rice is very tasty and the grilled fish is the best. The taste is the same everytime so you know what to expect!
