Good food and great beer!
Great service, great food Best club sandwich I ever had
Top of the Hill! I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed myself here!! Our server was Cesare and he was so friendly and kind and very accommodating with great recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing. The “thumbs and toes” was probably the best bbq chicken chunks I’ve ever had. And luckily we came in when their special of the day was true bbq brisket sandwich topped with cole slaw. It was so good that I cannot believe it’s not a menu staple. My God. We even ordered an extra side of brisket just because it was so tender and juicy. It sucks that I don’t live in North Carolina, otherwise I would 100% be in here every weekend for the great food, friendly staff, and chill vibes with a great view.
I really enjoyed the salmon bowl! Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. It's possible they have a kids menu but I didn't see it on their website or when I scanned the code at the restaurant. There were a couple kids there when we visited. The menu we viewed was definitely for the mature palate. We are here on a Saturday around 1pm. It was busy but not overcrowded. I would eat here again next time I'm in CH!
This was our first visit to TOPO and it did not disappoint! Delicious food, great staff and beautiful view. The drinks were perfect and I cannot rave enough about the risotto with fried salmon and the rolls!!! Mouth watering, we will definitely be back for more.I will also add that the restrooms were very clean and spacious. The restaurant overall is nice and has options to dine inside or out.
Scenery and restaurant were cool. Our beer was good. Unfortunately the chicken sandwich was extremely dry and very thin; others have made this comment previously too. The burger was not cooked properly. Our server started out very attentive. We ordered everything immediately just because we had our baby with us and who knows how long she would make it. Overall we were there for 70 minutes and most of it was waiting. Our serve didn’t come to our table for 30 minutes or more when we were nearly done, while we had an upset baby, and we were ready to go. Didn’t address food concerns at all even though more than 75% if our food was still left on the table. Disappointing overall.
This is a very nice restaurant. I was visiting my daughter who is a student at Chapel Hill. The restaurant is on the third floor and has both indoor and outdoor dining. We chose to dine outdoors and had a nice view of Franklin Street. The restaurant also has a brew pub. I only drink beer after mowing the lawn and since I did not have my lawn mower with me I did not patrtake. We had lizard chips which are fried pickles and sweet potato fries with pepper jelly as appetizers. I don't really care for fried pickles but these were very good. My daughter loved them. The sweet potato fries were waffle fries which I'm not terribly fond of. That being said the pepper jelly cream cheese dip that came with them was very good and despite not being fond of waffle fries i managed to suffer through the entire batch. For the main course my daughter had the Teriyaki cauliflower Bowl which she really enjoyed. I had the wild mushroom grit cakes. They were very tasty. I ordered shrimp with them. They were very flavorful and came with a nice cheese sauce. It was not quite what I had envisioned. From the description I thought the mushrooms would be within the cakes themselves but the mushrooms were in the sauce. Still it was very tasty. Overall an excellent experience. The server was attentive and friendly. I will definitely be coming back for seconds.
Good food and service.Highly recommended.
Service was slow, waiters did not look like they had any training except “ take this to that table” food was average and they do not really cater for anyone who needs to be gluten free. Disappointing.
Amazing place .. Great food, views & attentive staff! Highly recommend the cauliflower bowl & jalapeño hush puppies!
