Very happy Casual Pint is here...it's exactly what this area needed! It's a great place to sample a huge beer selection (including a ton of local brews). Perfect for the "connoisseur" and also the person wanting to try something new. A great food menu, a million televisions to watch whatever game you've been waiting all day for, a super cool loft and perfect patio for nice weather days are all there. If you're in Chapel Hill, don't hesitate to stop by!
Great spot!! I've been here many times now. They have a great beer selection, outdoor seating with umbrellas for shade, lots of TVs for the sports fans, and a collection of board/card games upstairs. Friendly staff, and place always looks clean. I've had a few different things on the food menu and everything has been really good - I especially liked the bratwurst and the wings!
This is hands down THE best spot in Chapel Hill! Great food AND more beer taps than I can count! And you are definitely missing out if you don’t get an ice cream sandwich (or 4!). Bill and Donna are fantastic people and they have done a wonderful job with this bar!! Go check it out for yourself!
Local "dry hopped" beer was $6.35 for 12 ounces. It was watery and flat. It was most certainly not "hoppy". The bartender admitted to not knowing anything about beer. ...in a place with 35 beers on tap. This nitpicking is likely due to the flippant and amateur youngling behind the bar.I will give this place one mulligan, hoping for a different bartender.--- edit ---This is a follow-up to the Owner's response (The Google does not appear to directly support a dialog):Thanks for taking the time to reply, really. If you looked at my few other reviews you will have seen they are generally positive [e.g.: I normally do not bother with critical reviews]. Bullet points follow:- I am indeed correct on the price, as that was the price (sans tip) that I paid.- The glass was certainly not full of 16 ounces of beer, lets go with that. :-)- I was indeed at the location for which I wrote the review.- I like my generally anon persona, it's not Jason Bourne level but it's good enough.- I wrote that review after I finished my experience at you bar (within the past 42 days).** Because my goal with this review was not to to punish the bartender, I was not specific in that detail. I am sorry if this throws a wrench in the works. If this waters down the review like a re-bound 11th edition copy then.. So be it [I prefer to give a mulligan to the guy or gal working the shift, because there are probably factors I am not privy to] :-)I recommend you generally educate your bartenders about beer's nuance and the multiplicity of its variations. Also, I recommend not closing the kitchen until actual closing time... I understand it's a pain and costs more but I stand by it :-)Because you actually took the time to respond, I have changed my review to three stars.
Awesome community place. Great beer selection, nice patio for when it's nice or if I have the puppy with me. Food is surpringly good!
Stopped in for a drink before a dinner reservation next door. Friendly and very helpful staff. Good selection of draft beers. Pretty decent selection of bottles/cans to go. Good atmosphere inside and out. We will definitely be back to eat and drink... as the menu was mouth watering.
We've come here several times and really enjoy the atmosphere. One of the regular employees, Mike, has always been very nice and helpful with choices. It's nice to see their food menu evolve and nothing has disappointed.
Great service and great beer! All of the staff was very helpful and kind; they walked us through their tap list and ordering. The giant pretzel and cheese was the perfect app! I have lived nearby for a few years and I wish I had visited this gem sooner!
This place is exceptional. Special shout out to Hobie and Oliver. They make you feel very welcomed, especially with their extensive beer and wine knowledge.
Great selection of beer and seating. They even have board games upstairs! Staff is super friendly.
