I loved my stay at the Carolina Inn. The staff here are wonderful and courteous, and the hotel and its grounds are immaculate and feel soaked in the history and tradition of the University of North Carolina. It was a perfect way to spend a few days with my daughter before sending her off to begin her studies in Chapel Hill. The breakfasts at Crossroads were a highlight--wonderful service and food. They also offer daily housekeeping, which seems to be a rarity these days but is much appreciated.

Room Service was dysfunctional and overpriced. Watch for the extra fees of service, delivery and then tip. Plus, if there is an issue, do not expect to call and talk to an actual person. Thumbs down to the whole process.

I had a quick two night stay at The Carolina Inn and it's a very nice hotel, the staff are kind and attentive, the food is good - and oddly, the very best part was this lovely signature scent (magnolia or something?) that lightly wafts through the lobby. The walls are thin - so you can often hear the TV from your neighbor.

I just loved staying at the Carolina Inn. I was there for 12 nights and hands down, it was such a comfortable and beautiful experience. Everyone was amazing!! I took the shuttle regularly, worked out at the gym, had 3 dinners and drinks at the restaurant, and took pictures all over the hotel. This place is just so adorable! I now can see why so many people get married here.

We always stay at the Carolina Inn whenever we are in Chapel Hill. It is consistently a lovely experience. Staff is so friendly and the beds are very comfortable. Love the decor and the location is perfect.

Great location, especially if you have business at UNC, but the hotel itself was middling. Our room (king suite) was massively overstuffed with furniture to the point where it was hard to navigate. The floor of the bedroom had a huge wet spot (hidden by the color of the carpet) that we had to cover with multiple towels. The A/C unit rattled all night, despite us turning it off. Some of the furniture was broken and unusable anyway (desks). It's great that the hotel is on campus, but the actual hotel experience was not great. We had another regular double queen room that was fine (furnishing and cleanliness), but paying extra for a very poor suite was galling.

I was a wedding guest with a Carolina Inn reception, so we chose to stay on site. What a delightful location, staff and experience! This is an example of old school posh hospitality. It was a lovely venue. Everyone visiting Chapel Hill should try to stay at least one night if possible.

Great outdoor Music on the Front Porch!!❤️??❤️

I highly recommend The Carolina Inn. It is a historic hotel situated next to a historic university. I did not attend UNC so I was not familiar with the area but wanted to stay in hotel that was situated near a vibrant urban scene that offered parking. The rooms were superbly decorated with historic furniture and the bathroom was very modern. The entire hotel staff, from the valets to the restaurant staff to the maintenance staff were all very friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered a good variety of selections for both breakfast and dinner. Sunday night dinner had a limited menu but the grilled chicken sandwich with mozzarella cheese, tomato and balsamic dressing is to die for. Add sweet potato fries and I was in heaven.

The hotel was magnificent. It was everything we hoped for in a hotel on campus. The staff was helpful and the food was outstanding. We could not have asked for a better experience. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is touring UNC.
