I eat here often, alone and with friends. I like the steak and cheese egg rolls, the French onion soup, and the house salad (no egg, no cheese, no dressing). The salad is in small bits and the croutons are a gift. I usually get a sandwich. I love the crispy chicken sandwich. It's really crispy and the arugula gives it a different flavor than lettuce. I also like the prime rib (add lettuce and tomato) and the steakhouse burger (no sauce). I tell my husband that you have to love a place that will give you French onion soup in 3 ways. There's the soup, the mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and the steakhouse burger. Yum. I was amazed the first time I ordered a slice of carrot cake. It's huge and delicious. There were only 3 of us so we took it home and had it for 3 more days. I'm always excited when I realize that it's Sunday so there are biscuits with butter and jam. The regular rolls are great with the cinnamon butter but the biscuits are a treat. When I go with a large group, I like that they have round tables. It's just so much easier to talk to everyone. I go early for lunch. My service is mostly good .
Amazing experience. My wife and I went here for my birthday and this place was great. From the door staff to the wait-staff, everyone wished me a happy birthday. Honestly it reminded me of the Ritz Carlton where they greet you by name. Our server Alice was attentive but not too much, responsive but also intuitive with what we needed. Top notch service from her. The drinks were good and toed the line of just the right amount of alcohol and not too strong. The food is really what sealed the 5 star rating. I am very picky (feel free to read my other reviews) and all of the food, appetizers, main course and vegetables were almost perfect. (The asparagus needed a bit more time to soften IMO) The steak was perfectly done medium rare. And the lobster bisque was delicious. Finally the ambiance was high end without making you feel like you needed a suit to come in. Beautiful lighting and although we went early it was busy but not loud. If you are looking for a great place to eat or a place to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend Stoney River and our server Alice.
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at! Service was awesome! Steaks cooked perfectly! Price is fair, I have paid a lot more at Ruth’s Chris and Angus Barn, but Stoney River was much better food and service, it’s my new go to steakhouse!
Stoney River came highly recommended, and is a wonderful place to spend an evening with friends! The enormous wine selection is showcased in the middle of the restaurant in a glass walled closet for our viewing pleasure. Each course is beautifully plated, and equally matched in taste. The steak was savory and tender. The fresh creamed spinach was so cheesy and flavorful. The carrot cake is densely rich, full of pecans and fresh carrots. It has a light creamy frosting drizzled with a light caramel sauce. The slice is large enough to share with two or three people! The dimly lit atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. My server, Geoff, is a perceptive listener and very knowledgeable. He suggested the perfect drink for my taste. Go enjoy an evening and do yourself a favor: make sure to ask for Geoff. Tell him Ginger sent you!!! You will not be disappointed.
Went here for my birthday and I had such a wonderful experience. Peyton gave us such great service and was really attentive to everything. The filet mignon trio was like melt in your mouth good. My favorite topping was the poivre. We also had the steak egg rolls, Mac n cheese, sweet potato, potato au gratin, chocolate cake and crème brûlée and they were all really good. The lighting and music are also perfect for a romantic date night. We’ll definitely be visiting again.
The tuna stack was anything but stacked. It was a mess all over the plate. I ordered a ribeye Pittsburgh rare and evidently the cook didn’t have a clue what that was. My wife ordered prime rib medium rare and it was well done. I guess the best part of the evening was that they were at least open and serving something. Do not recommend!
Perfect service, and amazing food. Must try the carrot cake, but fair warning you will need multiple mouths to eat it all lol.
Moved from NY a year ago Stony River is my favorite restaurant! It has a great spacious bar where they make the best Cosmos! Whether you order fish or steak or anything else you are guaranteed a great meal. The staff couldn’t be nicer and the restaurant has great ambiance,which I find most restaurants in this area lack. I highly recommend Stony River!
First time customer to this chain. We ordered a four pound slab of prime rib and didn’t think to ask for medium. Consequently received very rare and too chewy. Also it was not particularly tasty and In my opinion not a high quality prime rib. Have had much better. One and done.
You can't get a better meal for the price. The food is excellent. The drinks are on point. Stoney River has great ambiance and excellent service.
