Great little restaurant! Definitely one of my favorites in the area for takeout, though their indoor seating actually looks really nice, so I need to try that someday too. The fried rice is actually authentically fried, the batter, chicken and spices on the kung pao and General Tso's chicken all taste fantastic, and I love that I can get Indian dishes here too. The chicken tikka masala is delicious and pairs wonderfully with the basmati rice. AFAIK it's the only Indian restaurant within the vicinity, and I'm glad that they're both really good and really reasonably priced. I've gotten both lunch and dinner here, and the portions are definitely appropriate to their respective price points. For the money you get a lot of really good food. I love that you can state what spice level you want in your food, and when you go moderately high like I tend to like, it adds an excellent extra layer of heat and flavor that you might not get from other restaurants that don't offer that option. The waitstaff is friendly and the chefs have consistently gotten my order right. This is a delightful restaurant that I really hope sticks around. Thanks a bunch Rasa! Good work! :D
Best Indo-Chinese Cuisine I've ever had!!! Great service, great people, always a fantastic plus visit!
This is my first time at this place, and I absolutely loved it! Without a doubt, the best Indian food I have ever had in my entire life, which is saying something as I love Indian food and have had a variety of it. I am thankful this place exists, highly recommend it.
I highly recommend the Baingan Bharta (eggplant) and Makhani (tandoori chicken) --my favorite! Stay away from the garlic Naan (it was hard and stale), wonton soup (I had to spit out the wonton it was so bad), and the mango Lassi (watery and sour with a weird grainy texture). I would definitely eat here again, but only the 2 dishes I mentioned first. I also got Dan Dan Noodles, which were ok.
Only sampled from the Indian menu, but everything was exceptional (and reasonably priced). The owner was gracious and our order was prepared quickly and carefully, especially for being short-staffed.
This is the best Indian food food I have eaten. I love the location in north Chapel Hill. It is easy to get to and has great parking.
If you like Indian and Chinese, you can get both here. Levels of heat from 1-10.
LOVE this place. This was my second time coming in during a lunch break and both times were amazing. This chicken curry dish & mango lassi was so amazing and made my Friday so special. The host/waitress is always so friendly and very on point with serving customers. Thank you for this experience
My SO and I are new to the area and were hoping to find a good but affordable Indian restaurant, and Rasa fits the bill. We ordered a chicken pasanda and murg makhani from Rasa and were quite happy with our meals. I particularly enjoyed the richness of the murg makhani. The staff was also helpful (and quite funny) when helping me figure out how spicy to ask for my dish to be.
Amazing food, great service. I recommend the chicken vindaloo, yummy.
