Simply delicious. Went on the first day in Chapel Hill and kept coming back for the remainder of our short stay. Attentive staff and a very delicious latte. I look forward to coming back.
Great tea, but really limited options that didn’t match the menu at all, so this place is definitely more coffee centered if that’s something important to you. One thing that was off putting is the lack of updated photos the cafe has put on google, which don’t reflect the cafe presently. That was part of the reason I came in, and it seemed a bit fishy that the old photos haven’t been taken down by the owner.
Yum! I had the perfect Oatmilk vanilla latte here with a pumpkin chai muffin. It was a such a delight to meet the owner. Both items were not overly sweet and the coffee was hot and spot on! I wish they opened earlier but truly this place is a gem.
I was expecting good coffee but it tasted like hotel coffee. Additionally, this was not a good place to be for non-students. Everyone there was on their macbook with headphones on. Don't expect to be able to sit down and enjoy the hotel-flavored coffee here.
Great cappuccino. Friendly staff. Yeah they ask you if you want to tip. Tip them like you would at a bar. Airy space lots of plants. I suggest they put up some mirrors to amplify the natural light
Stopped here for a coffee while visiting chapel hill. While the space was beautiful, my drink was so so and OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE. I mean VERY expensive. My husband did not like his drink and threw the rest out after suffering through half of it due to the astronomical price tag. Furthermore, what could have made these drinks so expensive was the fact that where you ordered I am assuming is 6 ft away, and they announce loudly would you like to leave a tip, I said yes she said how much? I said excuse me? She repeated herself, I said I can enter it in, she says oh I’m sorry we have to enter it…do you have a tip jar? No we don’t. (Cash tips are much better for employees as they get to keep the entirety and not have it taken by credit card companies) it was just an entirety uncomfortable experience and just overall a very unpleasant experience at this cafe. Two coffee drinks cost more then mine and my husbands entire lunch. Go on down the street to the outdoor cafe for a beautiful setting and fabulous reasonable drinks and a cash tip bar
Friendly staff that pulled a good shot of espresso. Be nice if the espresso was served with a little bubbly water like other similar quality cafes.
November 2021 - This is my first visit to Perennial coffee and I will definitely be returning! The coffee selection is wide with great autumnal specials and flavors. The staff is very kind and helpful and the interior environment is very clean. Its the perfect place to get some light computer work done with non-intrusive music and other polite guests. 10/10 would recommend!
I got the spicy mocha and it is phenomenal! The barista was very sweet and attentive and the vibe of the whole place was perfect.
This place is amazing! All the syrups are made in house. The tea is crafted, if you are looking for something special stop in. The space is perfect for hangout or study and they offer free wifi for their customers while you sip.
