Mexican Restaurants are my favorite places to eat. There are only a few that make a great investment into the building and ambience of their establishment. There even fewer that put effort in the presentation of the meal. I was really surprised by Monterrey. So much so I am wanting to take some of my friends there on special occasions. If you want to go to a Mexican Restaurant that is a few steps above the rest. This is a place I would recommend. It is a little pricy. We had 4 in our party which costed us around $60 before adding the tip. The food was delicious and very large. You can easily have a second meal to take home. I really want to go again.
I went with my boyfriend and I was very nice and respectful and even complimented my servers hair. We had about 5 servers within that one time who they all gave me dirty looks the whole time and would only talk to my boyfriend. By the time we were done with our food she asked us if we wanted a refill and we said yes and I was attempting to ask for a box but literally mid sentence she walked away. Even my boyfriend was wondering what was going on. I don't know anybody who works there, I was nice, I complimented one of the servers hair, I tipped good.. I don't get it. I handed my card to one of the servers and she didn't take it at first but once she took it and rang it she handed MY card that I hander to her.. to my boyfriend. Yes, I still tipped good (I shouldn't have) but when I put the tip in the book one of the other servers walked by, opened it. Looked at it, looked at me, then took it. However, once we started to headed out that's when one of the servers stopped up to give us a bag for our boxes and another asked us how the food was but I was over it and we just left.
My friends and I had a great experience here. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The waiter memorized all our orders without writing them down which was super impressive. The restaurant is huge and very spacious. A big game was on tv and tons of people were there to watch the game. Our food came out so fast and was delicious. I got the ACP which was great. I got a virgin watermelon mojito which I loved. My only complaint would be that they charged me full price for the mojito, and usually restaurants don’t charge full price for virgin cocktails. I will definitely be back though.
We got takeout from here after arriving in NC. Was having trouble using Uber eats/ Grubhub but called and they had my order ready in 15 minutes. I had the veggie plate which I modified to be vegan - it was good. My boyfriend had the carne asada special which he said was really good. We also got guacamole and pico (with chips) both good although the guacamole was a little pricey! Would love to see this restaurant add a vegan menu option!
We had a great experience the second we walked through the door. Miguel was a wonderful server offering suggestions and humor! The food was outstanding and the price was VERY reasonable. We will be back and will ask for Miguel!
Always great food, beverages and service! The place is always busy, but never a wait.. dinner arrives quick! Something for everyone!
It started with the ordering over the phone she didn't have the patient or she had an attitude because I change my order twice and then when I went to pick up my order I could tell it was the same person because she this person still seem like she had attitude still seem like she was mad at somebody. Then she says we don't open til 1130 it will be ready 15 minutes after that so I get there on time and guess whatu right I cold.... My first time there.what a experience. Thanks to people not liking there Job.
They were super accommodating and friendly. Everyone was well masked and covid-considerate. The food was super tasty and a great value. I'll definitely be back.
What a great Mexican restaurant. First of all, I always go for lunch. The menu prices are pretty much all under $10.00. The chips and salsa are excellent. Then u get your beautiful meal. I have had tacos, enchiladas, and fajitas. All are a great value and very very tasty. I usually take half of my fajitas home for $9.00. Then I finish it off with a bid Coke. Great place and now they have plenty of tables outside if u prefer. Go and try it u will not be disappointed.
The food was delicious! Nice sized portions for AYCE! Mr Tokyo was fantastic!!
