Had dinner for the first time about a week ago with another couple.. Waitress was very knowledgeable (how refreshing is that). My wife and I both ordered the Bolognese and a bottle of wine the waitress recommended for the table. I should mention that we've stayed in Bologna for a few weeks at a time twice in the last five years so we know what Bolognese should taste like. The dinner was delicious! The wine paired perfectly. Today, we had brunch - mini biscuits, feather light pancakes, duck stock cheese grits & a shrimp Benedict. Too much food for the two us but the brunch menu is so interesting, it is hard to stop ordering. Different waitress today but as knowledgeable and efficient as the first. We'll be back soon.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Chapel Hill! I love a small menu because you know everything is made with intention and everything we got was delicious! The cocktails were interesting, the wine was great, and the food was amazing. We got the oysters the lamb flatbread, the short ribs, and the chicken schnitzel. The short ribs were one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Would definitely go back again!

The service is great. Our waitress Savannah was awesome. I would highly recommend. Also great atmosphere

Overall great experience. The hostess and waitstaff were friendly despite the rush. The ambience is very pleasant with cozy and elegant vibes. The menu had a strong selection. We ordered bread, soup of the day, burrata, the catch of the day, and a few drinks. The waitress forgot our bread but was able to quickly bring it out when reminded, so it came after our two starter items. The soup was a creamy cauliflower with barley and spinach. Tasty. The burrata came with root vegetables and tasted incredible! So delicious. I finished every morsel on the plate, it was all so tasty. The bread was also wonderful. Warm and soft with fresh whipped butter. Wow.The catch of the day was halibut and I was disappointed with this dish. It was under seasoned and tasted too “fishy” with more of an ocean taste than any other flavor. I had two bites and left the rest on the plate. The veggies with it were okay and also a little under seasoned.I was hoping the catch of the day would match the quality of the other dishes I’ve had here, but I suppose they all can’t be winners. The waitress was a tad forgetful and didn’t notice the untouched halibut dish, but she was busy as it looked like they may have overbooked that night or been understaffed.I’ll return for another catch of the day in coming weeks and update my score accordingly. Til then - it’s still a wonderful restaurant absolutely worth visiting. Great attention by the chef.

Anticipated a nice dinner in our neighborhood. It was great atmosphere and service from our waitress, however the food and portions were not what we expected. My friend and I had seafood which was not fresh and extremely small portions. Mine was over cooked as well, especially the mussels. It also came with a piece of naan bread which was good except sitting in the broth so ended up soggy My husband and friend had the steak. Again tiny portions! The food was expensive as well. We had glasses of wine for 10$ a piece, again beautiful glasses but not much wine ! Unfortunately we would like to support local business, however won’t be returning.

Interesting menu, with tasty low carb options.

We’ve dined at M&M many times since they opened and it’s always a good experience. This pass visit was on New Year’s Eve. Everything was so wonderful, from the atmosphere to the deserts. They had a price fix menu as expected & we had made reservations weeks in advance. It was truly 5 star quality meal. Wait staff was wonderful.

Had a wonderful NYE 4 course meal here, each course was both delicious and beautiful. Really loved the desserts! Outdoor seating was lovely as well, with option for heaters and blankets but it was warm enough that we didn't need them. Definitely would come back next time we are in town!

Ate here twice before but always sat outside (the patio area is wonderful) but were inside this time. Great ambience. As usual the food is good and service is friendly. But to cut to the chase, most dishes are just overpriced. $32 for Red Snapper? This was a $25 dish at most. Cocktails are tasty but nothing unusual. Good wine selection. I think this spot is a great addition to Southern Village and Chapel Hill, but these prices are probably supported by the fact that many people who live in the development have money. Our bill for two (no appetizers, 1 cocktail and 1 glass of wine each -- 4 drinks total -- no dessert and 1 entree each), was over $130 without tip, and I was still hungry. Also, no bread or anything brought to the table? Come on! For context, we eat out a lot and I have been to 33 states and 22 countries and have been to a LOT of restaurants.
