Went here for a graduation dinner today and it was delicious! I got the Mysore Dosai and it was chefs kiss. This place is great for vegetarians and it is FILLING. I also enjoyed their tea and idli! Definitely a go-to hole in the wall spot. Our server was very nice and the food came quickly! We came around 3:30, though, but it was filled with people still so it seems like a great place. Will be coming again!
We have been long time customers of Udupi cafe! Over the many years they have managed to keep the quality and taste of food top notch! The manager is a very friendly guy. We often take out food and we've never experienced any issues. And best of all that are so many options to choose from! There's some thing for every palate and diet. And eating plant based food feels great!
This was one of our pitstop driving to Charlotte NC. Yummy food and the coffee is a must after the food.
The 2nd worst Indian restaurant I have been to in Cary. The staff is completely unprofessional and incompetent. I like Indian food and it is hard to find a good restaurant in NC that is not racists And the food was horrible and the restaurant had red roaches on the walls. When I went to pay for the food witch I shouldn’t have done there was a young boy scratching his BUTT AROUND THE FOOD. PLEASE DO NOT EAT AT THIS RACISTS RESTAURANT .
Ordered idli vada combo, wada was full of oil ozzing out of it. Asked to change it and the person got another vada which was raw inside. So ordered Veg biryani was no were close to biryani.Also chola bhatura , bhatura was hard burnt on corners. Very bad experience of food. Veg noodles taste like nothing just fullOf green capsicum and carrots, no taste. Nothing was good.poor taste of food. Will never visit again.
We ordered Andra dosai, Mysore masala and Hyderabad onion dosai. All of them save texture and taste. Dosai batter had no salt, so all dosas were tasting bland. We were expecting atleast two or three varieties of chutneys but they just served coconut chutneys. Sambar doesn't taste like South Indian. it's very watery and tasted like North Indian sambhar. Gobi Manchurian, Mixed Veg Pakoda and Channa Batura are their true specialties. They were authentic and tastes excellent. Rava Dosa was so crisp and tastes really good. Service was really quick.
Food is ok, not great with very low-level customer service. Manager, Behavior is so rude with customers. After we paid He came to the table and rudely asked for write-down tips in bills. we want to give tips in cash but he never waits for that And I agree with the other one start review.
I went back to this place almost 10-15 years later. They have maintained the quality of the food - and the former owner, Mr. Reddy recognized me even after so many years! This was a great nostalgic visit back to this place - I still remember when it first opened in 2001.
I never thought I'd be passionate enough to write a review about any restaurant. Thanks Udupi. The food is okay, but the person I talked to was super rude.. I placed an online order at this restaurant through a website they listed as 'Preferred by business'. My payment was debited, and when I went to the restaurant - the manager just told me they didn't receive the order, and asked me to cancel it. I didn't see any option to cancel the order.. they weren't even open to talking to a customer to resolve the issue (nor did they have an understanding that I cannot refund an amount back to my account by myself)..
The food is good. Really good.THE SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE.My family ordered $100 worth of food, picked it up, got home and discovered the rice was missing. Drove back, explained, asked for rice, and was interrogated!!! Was told we got the rice. Had to show a pic of the order on our countertop (not out first rodeo), they finally agreed to give us rice, then made us buy a third container of rice (we had purchased 4 curries).Spent $100 and was then accused of coming back to steal rice????! Basically called us liars and thieves because… rice.Too bad- the food is excellent, but we won’t be back.
