Food was yummy. Went for office dinner, so need to limit my drink. But it was one of the best pineapple margarita I had. They made the drink mix juice fresh. My co worker had orange frozen margarita, she loved it. Food was tasty, service was really quick. And I asked for a hot sauce, it was fiery hot.The decor with mask is really cool. Very authentic looking place. We went right after work, so it was easy to get seating. But if you and your friends are planning to go on weekdays call and make reservations. One time we tried without reservation, ended up at chipotle.
Good Food Good Service.Everything was just fine, including Queso. One odd was that chicken fajitas were served on a skillet, but not sizzling.
Disappointed in this place's food option for vegetarians and vegans. I wish that they would bring on beyond meat or better vegetarian dishes in general. Also disappointed in the slow service and how dirty the restaurant was. The table didn’t look wiped down and floors don’t look they have been mopped in years. It’s strange how one side of the restaurant looks better than the other. If you make a reservation, you get the nicer side of the restaurant. But, if you are just a walk-in, you are put in the bar area. You can not make same day reservations! If you go here, make a reservation in advance so they actually treat you like a customer. The staff seems overwhelmed and untrained. We had long wait times for simple items. The food was mediocre. There are better Mexican restaurants in the triangle area that are cleaner, more affordable, and have better service.
First time here and we really enjoyed the food, very tasty. I think service can definetly improve but we would visit again.
Great salsa, tasty guacamole, always a vegan option and especially love their use of brussel sprouts. Had this tasty margarita yesterday
Have been getting takeout here for years. My favorite Mexican place in the US. The platano frito relleno is to die for. Very good authentic food. My favorite food, always lifts my spirits!
Food was so good and the Rita was one of the best I ever had! No nasty mixer. Service was great!
This place was great. The food was amazing. Drinks were also good. This place is definitely a treat as it cost 95.00 for two people that's including a tip. But worth every penny. ???
Recently visited and the staff was amazing! We went for some cocktails after work and this place has amazing cocktails. We did order nachos which were just alright. This is definitely a nice atmosphere to enjoy a drink at.
I really like Totopos and the fact that they offer a lot of gluten free options, but my experiences have been hit or miss. This is true both across menu items and across visits. For example, chilaquiles is one of my go-to Hispanic dishes and I love how Totopos makes it. Sometimes it is very fresh, delicious, and includes a lot of sauce (like in my picture), but there have been a few occasions when it was not nearly as good. It was sort of dry and seemed like it was a couple of days old, which was rather disappointing. So I just wish that the quality was more consistent. Some of my other favorites are the queso fundido (with bacon instead of chorizo to make it GF) and the nachos, and my parents love the quesadillas (but those aren't GF).It's nice that they offer GF soft corn tortillas for a GF option for the tacos, but I was not impressed with the GF tortillas, so I can't recommend them. Also, their guacamole is delicious but beware that the serving size of the appetizer is small. It's more like an individual serving than an appetizer you can share with others. Which is fine, just be warned.Overall, I still recommend trying out Totopos even if it can be hit or miss, because it's delicious when they are on their A game. Plus, I am grateful that they are very accommodating of gluten free options and so far I have not had any reactions (knock on wood).
