Coming from someone who grew up in Louisiana, this was not even close to gumbo. The roux was not complete as it had chunks of wheat still in it. My jambalaya and red beans & rice were needed improvement. We came to this restaurant because we previously had the gator bites which were very good.Aside from the bad food we enjoyed the outside patio and our server was very friendly. Would not recommend if you’re looking for true Cajun food.

Everything was delicious! My first time trying the gator bites...they were seasoned well. I had the catfish as well and it tastes soooooo fresh. My husband had the Taste of Louisiana, and he loved it! Of course I sampled his food as he did mine! ?Our waitress were awesome! Thank you Big Easy, we will be back! ☺️

Ordered the Cobb salad to go. It was SO GOOD. The homemade ranch set it off. Will definitely order again soon.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch today while waiting for our new tires to be installed. They have a great patio for dining. The food was delicious, we had the breaded catfish and Tour of New Orleans. The service was prompt even though it was the bartender and she had customers inside, she still did a great job taking care of us.The only issue was the women’s bathroom, it smelled horrible, like sewage. We’ve love to go back, but that smell has me hesitating, wondering what is happening in the back of house that could cause that odor.

Here on a quiet Friday afternoon waiting for tires next door at Discount Tire. Crab appetizer was great and the beer tap selection was nice. 1000% better than sitting in an Auto store waiting room. Great location!!

I previously posted a review in regards to the muffelata recently purchased from Jason's Deli. After posting it and receiving a response from someone, I remembered my experience at the Big Easy in Cary years ago. My experience was the same as the one at Jason's. Big Easy also used an olive salad from somewhere or made it themselves and it did not resemble any true olive salad you would buy at Central Grocery or any other grocery store in New Orleans. The bread also was not true muffelata bread. What made my experience worst was while there was one customer there in early afternoon, it took 25 minutes to make a bad sandwich. I believe whatever bread they used was either frozen or they actually did make their own olive salad of black oilves, green olives and a little olive oil. I don't understand why peop!e market a sandwich or modify it and call it what it really is not. I don't know of anyone in Raleigh who makes an authentic muffelata in Raleigh so simply do not order one.

Absolutely delicious food and the price was very reasonable for the portions! My wife said the fried catfish was amazing and the coleslaw was excellent. I had the muffaletta sandwich and I can honestly say outside of eating in New Orleans, it's the best one I've ever had! Perfect bread, too! Can't believe we hadn't tried this place but we will DEFINITELY be back!

The appetizers were decent until I had to send back my shrimp and grits. The consistency was extremely watery & it was bland. I sent the meal back. When we received our check they charged 50% for the shrimp & grits. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told “ times are hard & they can’t afford to waste food”. So basically they can take money out of my pocket for food I didn’t eat because they can’t afford to run a restaurant. We weren’t told we would be charged & there were no signs or this policy. We won’t be returning.

Came into town to do some shopping and decided to stop in for a bite to eat with my daughter. My server Caitlyn was very sweet and attentive it wasn’t busy at lunchtime but the food was very good. Prices are reasonable! Stop by and ask for Caitlyn you won’t regret it.

fantastic service, nice atmosphere. had the shrimp po boy and it was phenomenal. highly recommend, and will go back again
