I have been ordering from Thai Lotus since they opened. Food is always delicious. BUT tonight they failed. One of the best things about Massaman curry is the creamy avocado. I had 5 pieces of avocado that I couldn't cut it was so unripe. Very disappointing.

Bizarre thai restaurant that doesn’t use fish sauce, palm sugar, or lime in any of their dishes, where these ingredients are staples of Thai flavor.I’ve been to Thailand, as well as plenty of Thai restaurants in America. I’ve never seen a restaurant this bad have 4.5 stars…The soups offered are like dishwater, and nothing close to authentic Tom Ga or Tom Yum soup. You can probably DIY the ingredients with white vinegar, water, and chicken bouillon. The curry (red) was actually okay. But I’m fairly sure they just used canned curries that you can buy whole sale and just simmered it with some waterThe worst was the Nam Tok. Never seen a beef salad this .. inedible. The beef pieces are sliced like stir fry and cooked bone dry. The salad is spicy and salty without any of the sweet and tanginess you’d usually expect from Nam Tok. I couldn’t finish it and wanted to return it, but they emphasized that it would just be dumped and I didn’t want to waste the food so I just took it. 16$ (or was it 18?) for stir fried beef tossed in lettuce is an absolute joke.Pad Thai was served with.. carrots??? Legit never seen this before. No bean sprouts were found and no peanuts on top. This whole experience felt like a fever dream and a thai food nightmare. Cary desperately needs some good Thai food if this is the best they’ve got

This was well worth the wait for food while children used playground. The teamwork among the servers was easily noticeable. Good job, well done. The food was truly tummies and tasteful while staying hot for awhile. Eating here is truly a wonderful experience but the servers were overloaded probably due to staff shortages.

Food is really good but the serving was slow when i dined in due to crowd. Definitely recommend though.

Vegetables done to perfection, love their crunchiness. Server was very nice and attentive.

have traveled here and there and this is the top Thai food I have ever tasted. The food was not only astonishingly good but came out hot and quickly. The ambiance and feeling of being at a friends home sealed the deal. Phukae the chef gets all my love. Lol. He made papaya salad for me. That os what I wanted so badly. I am thankful. They make everything from scratch even the dried pepper. Authentic green tea is the best!!!

Food was fabulous, and staff were friendly and attentive. I had the drunken noodles with chicken - a generous portion with just the right amount of spice. My friend had the panang curry and loved it, and it took a lot of willpower not to sneak a bite of her food when she left the table for a moment.

I'd be willing to give this place another try. My pad thai didn't have any cilantro or lime and the tofu was hard. Also my cousin asked for the thai red curry extra spicy and it came out super mild, no spice. Everyone else enjoyed their meals though! Nice environment.

The Nam tok was warm, usually I've had it chilled, but I don't even know which is more authentic. It was really good though. Wife had pineapple fried rice with shrimp, she liked it. Daughter got shrimp Pad Thai, it was really good. Expensive, but very worth it.

We were visiting family down in Cary and decided to try this Thai restaurant because they had great reviews but this was the absolute worst thai food we had ever eaten. They used pad thai noodles for the pad see ew, and they were almost hard, maybe reheated. The sauce was wrong, disgusting flavor. I wouldn't feed this food to my dog. We eat a lot of thai food, I don't know what this was. Don't waste your money.
