Beautiful authentic Chinese food with sushi. Chinese hot pot was absolutely delicious. String beans with perfect texture. Soup pork dim sum perfect. This was one of the best Chinese restaurants experience we have had in a long time since Szechuan Chinese closed down in Cary. Also don’t have pictures but the interior ambience was beautiful. I didn’t get the name of our waitress but she was so sweet and patient with us as we were not familiar with some of the dishes. She even stopped us from ordering too much. Thank you.
Not a busy service tonight. Friendly service and authentic Chinese food. My wife and I grew up having these Chinese BBQ, and we are impressed with the Roasted Duck. (additional poiint for serving with the sauce that was marinating inside the duck)Dishes that we ordered:Roasted Pork (12oz) 叉烧肉Roasted Duck (half) 港式烧鸭Stir Fried Green Beans 干煸四季豆
This is perhaps my new favorite Asian restaurant in town! To begin with, the staff here is lovely. They are very polite and friendly. My friends and I have been several times now and we always leave satisfied. We have tried both the Chinese and the sushi options and thoroughly enjoyed both. On my last visit I got the Mongolian beef and will most likely be back to order it again. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there can be a bit of a language barrier, so I recommend that you be very clear about what you order. We had 1 item that never came once and some confusion about portion size, but the staff was extremely quick to correct both issues. They could not have been nicer about it. I also had 1 pork item that was just ok, but that may just be my preference at play. Everything else I have had there has been delicious and no one in my group has had anything negative to say about their food choices. My friends and I will definitely be back!
The food is absolutely five stars! Very flavorful and always cooked well. A lot of variety and I'm always up for trying something new. The soup dumplings are fantastic. The lamb chops are fantastic. The only reason I don't give it five stars is there is sometimes a bit of a language barrier when ordering, I have received things that we're not what I wanted when I ordered it. But overall I love this restaurant!
Went to this place twice and I cannot believe the quality of the food! No cutting corners on sushi … portions on hot menu items are substantial and it is clean inside. They could do so much with the outside patio area but don’t for some reason. No matter, the food is good!! I have noticed other sushi places reducing size of rolls. This place is a sweet spot. These are the awesome sushi rolls served to me today. Last time I came I tried the cucumber chili oil app and it was delicious.
Great food, service and portion size! Enjoyed our dinner!
The portions are sharable which we loved! We gone twice already and have enjoyed everything! The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because the both times we have gone they did not have vegetable dumplings. The whole duck was really good and a huge portion.Overall the experience is enjoyable!
Shanghai Alley, I had such high hopes for the food, but it just was not there. I was craving some Chinese and had a coupon so I decided to walk in. The staff was busy and a little short, so I had to wait. In order to use my coupon I had to spend $25, so I got an egg drop soup, Philadelphia roll, and shrimp with vegetables. It did not take too long to get my food and the staff was nice about them missing my Philadelphia roll and quickly was able to get me one. The soup was a pretty normal egg drop soup and the same with the Philadelphia roll. However, the shrimp with vegetables was a surprise--the surprise was the amount of sauce. I got home and I could barely see the shrimp and vegetables as it was just covered in sauce. I literally had to dump off a couple of cups of sauce in order to try to eat any of it and even still it was too much. The food lost a lot of its flavor because of the sauce--It was super thick and just not good. The one bright light was the kind staff and the welcoming feeling.
Been there several times and it was delicious. My General Tso’s Chicken was cooked perfectly. Had a sushi roll. It was beautiful and tasted great. The service was very good. You should try it before it becomes too popular to get a table.
Wow. First time trying this place and we loved it. I’m always wary of mystery meat at places like this and we quickly learned there is nothing to fear, only food to love!We ordered wonton soup, pork dumplings, pork “soup” dumplings, General Tso’s Chicken, Chili Oil Shrimp bowl, and beef with veggies.… the wontons, dumplings, were homemade The shrimp were plump, tender, juicy and plentiful. The chicken was white meat and top quality. We all couldn’t get enough of both types of the HOMEMADE dumplings…no need to go to Sister Lou’s across town anymore!Goodness gracious, even the quality of the fortune cookies was above average.Friendly service and nice decor (wow, biggest tv screen ever and tuned to Chinese channel. Would be better to have subtitles in English though).Owners would be wise to play some Chinese music to add to the authenticity. This will be the Chinese place we go to for takeout as well. Puts strip mall Chinese takeouts to absolute shame. Cheers and enjoy your trip to Shanghai!
