Since I am from Philly, I'm very critical of places outside the locale that claim authenticity. Our favorite CS place was a small mom and pop originating from Philly. The biz succumbed due to the pandemic. Penn Station offers a decent roll white or multi grain with three cheese choices - American, Provolone and Swiss (I think). I had a CS on multigrain with provolone cheese, fried onions (they call them grilled) and mushrooms. Good amount of meat with a tasty seasoning. Will be my go-to!
My husband and I enjoyed this place. It was clean and we were the only ones there so our order was cooked up and served right away. Philly steak and cheese, teriyaki chicken and the turkey sub. We ordered extra meet on all and a large fry. Fries are freshly cut in house. Needless to say, after our sub fiasco we left full and with left overs in hand. I was looking for the salty taste that was mentioned in other reviews and I think its just the flavor of the meat. Its a steakum type meat and I advise to ask for light salt on the fries other than that I really enjoyed my food and wished we had one here in Fayetteville where I live
This Penn Station Location is Without any Doubt a Great and Amazing and Very Fantastic Place to Come for Lunch or for Supper!! This is a Great and Amazing and Very Fantastic Place to Come to for a Delicious Hot Sandwich or Delicious Wrap or Salad and their Fries are nice and hot and made Fresh!! They even have Delicious Soft Cookies and Chips of Different Kinds and Pepsi Drinks!! Come to this Great and amazing and awesome Penn Station Location for lunch or supper anytime and the Service is great and amazing and awesome and kind and friendly Above and Beyond!!???????????????????????????????????
Very friendly and welcoming staff. The entire restaurant was clean and inviting.Everything I've ordered was prepared with care and delicious.When I work in Cary, this is a regular stop.
Cary location - customer service was exceptional and the subs tasted delicious. I wanted to try this place a few months ago but for some reason ended up going somewhere else. My family wanted to eat somewhere else across the street from Penn Station ECS but I wanted something different so decided to get my sub to go while my family waited for me in the car. Got my sub and went to the car, i we were getting ready to go the smell was so good that I decided to get a bit and wow! I told my wife it tasted really good and she asked to give it a try so I did, long story short we all went to eat there and didn’t ho across the street. All our subs were cook to perfection, the fries where very fresh and crispy. Definitely going back.
Outstanding sub, definitely go for the cheesesteak wrap! Deeeee-lish!! Clean restaurant with friendly staff and a straightforward menu. They've got nice outdoor seating and a couple of tv's inside of you want to catch the game. Tasty Lemonade, too!
They've instituted a policy of not correcting mistakes on take out orders unless you bring the sandwich back, so make sure you check your order before leaving the store. If you go home, realize the mistake, throw out the sandwich, and drive back to the store with the tag from the sandwich they will not fix it. I've been to this location several times in the past and mistakes are common, but previously the sandwiches were close enough so I didn't complain. Just make sure you check before leaving, or bring the whole sandwich back.They don't seem to have this policy at the Primo's Pizza around the corner, which is a pretty good NY style pizza joint. Really good garlic knots. The Firehouse Subs on Harrison is good and gets your order correct at a much higher frequency.
Lemonade wasn't sweet and had little to no lemon flavor. Ordered a sub without sauce got sauce on sub anyway. Waited for 15-20 mins for order then they forgot our drinks. There is no flavor at this location, hard pass. Fries were the only thing good, I'll stick to Jersey Mike's.
