I stopped in at 6pm on a Friday and there was only one table occupied. The decor is pleasing, and I felt good sitting down. I just wanted a vegetable curry. Kurma seemed to be my only option, so I went with that, and it came out within a reasonable time. I forgot to specify mild (I was not asked for a spice level) and what came out I would describe as medium-hot-- enough to make my nose run, but tolerable. The veggies were a little soft, flavor decent but overly salty (and I like my food on the salty side). Rice was decent. I chose to finish it as is, but when I mentioned the saltiness at the end, the waiter made it clear that had I said something earlier they would have gladly remade it for me. Based on their responses to other reviews, it seems they're serious about making sure their customers are satisfied. I would be glad to give them another chance next time I'm in the area.
Hands down the best Indian cuisine in the triangle area. Definitely get their mutton korma, vegetable kurma. Guntur chicken was spicy good!! Phulka’s were a nice surprise!! We loved their food so much we decided to hire them to cater to our wedding. Service was really great. Big 5 stars from us and we will be regulars!!
I went to mirchi restaurant after all of the hype that I heard about. Unfortunately it did not live upto the standards. The food is decent quality. The drinks were super spicy or super sweet. The service is awful. One of the team member came asking me how is everything so far after getting our drinks and appetizers. I mentioned the drink was super spicy. I wasn’t even able to drink. The response I got was terrible. What did you expect it said chili in the name. We really make it spicy at this restaurant. Instead of offering to remake the drink. Then I continued on with the night. We asked for water to be filled 3 times it took them 10 minutes or so fill water. Then we asked them to get containers for appetizer. They came twice asking how many after I specified. They came back with wrong amount of containers. Then I asked them for more containers after entree and again same issue. To top it all off they asked me how was everything when my bill came. I said service was terrible. They didn’t bother even apologizing. I asked why was I charged gratuity for table of 5 when they say gratuity is included in table of 6. They said we include it for all. Places where gratuity is included then service should match. People generally tip based on the service. This is by far the worst Indian restaurant experience in triangle. I have visited and wrote amazing reviews for many in the area.Update: after seeing the owners comments I called back to discuss what happened. The owner agreed to do the right thing by reimbursing me the tip money and the drink money. I was informed to visit again. There is a fine print that party of 5 there will be an automatic gratuity included.
Absolutely incredible first experience at Michi's, and I already can't wait to go back. We started with the onion dosa, which was amazing. We then got a handful of different entrees and each was DIVINE! Our server, Ram, was helpful, attentive, and very nice. Will definitely be back!
We dined in on a quiet Tuesday evening. I highly recommend that time because of quick service and quiet dining. We tried the Paneer Tikka Masal and Gongura Chicken Curry. Really liked both, so much that we ordered extra rice
The place is very clean and I loved the decorations. The food was very tasty and the menu was full of delicious options. The workers are welcoming, respectful, and responsive. Would have loved it even more if they had lentil soup in the menu. Will definitely go back.
Jan 2022 update:Today we ordered for pick up - great experience!1) Dosa was packed very well. Most dosas from other restaurants are simply wrapped in foil leaving it soggy. Here they packed in a box, cut roast dosa in 3 keeping the texture as you dine in, great job! Ghee roast dosa tasted good2) Again usually other restaurants give “same” masala for poori and dosa. Here they gave different masala for poori and for ghee roast masala dosa, which was good. Poori masala was like we made at home.2021:Went there for dinner sat outside. Had poori masala, street style noodles and gobi. Food was tasty, had good South Indian flavor to it. They had put curry leaves and spices which was good. Staff were really friendly and nice. Will plan to go there again.
Had lunch with friends during Christmas Eve, Tandoor roti was delicious, good portions as well. Tried Biriyani and it’s like Rice mixed with chicken curry. Rest of the curry items of average taste in comparison to other restaurants around
Arguably the best Indian restaurant in RTP area and I don't make such statements casually. These guys have got it right in every aspect. Great location, nice interior, great menu, good collection of Indian beers and almost every dish tastes really good.We go there often and I must say their service was affected due to shortage of staff, which delayed the orders beyond reasonable limits. But they bounced back and did a far better job during next few visits.Try the chole bhature, or their Guntur chicken (spicy like hell) or any other dish.
This was delightful experience. Lovely atmosphere and beautiful food. Well done and worth a stop in for a meal. The staff was great. Take.it all in and try these delicious dishes.
