Absolutely delicious dining at the Mellow Mushroom in Cary! We beat the dinner rush on Friday and enjoyed an amazing meal! The waiter informed us that we could make any pizza half and half which was super cool of them, so we tried the Mellowterranean and the Wild in Havanna (which tasted like a cuban sandwich pizza and it was SO GOOD!!!). The food always tastes fresh and is excellent, so I highly recommend this pizza joint!
Severely disappointed. I did curbside pickup on Mother's day brunch and the pizza was incredible, especially my Gluten Free pizza - crisp crust, beautiful bubbly cheese, really delicious. Came back tonight to show my husband and spent $70 on the most disappointing dinner in a long time.My gluten free crust was floppy and barely cooked, the basil was missing, and the ricotta apparently has crunchy dried oregano mixed in which is less than enjoyable to crunch down on. The wings were soggy, and my lemon drop was essentially all vodka with a wedge of lemon. Good for some, but I enjoy a well balanced drink. It was so strong I didn't feel safe finishing my drink before driving home.My husband's pizza was less than enjoyable for him as well - the crust was dry and the ranch was blobbed on in excess. After being promised my pizza and wings were Gluten Free, I had a reaction at the restaurant.Giving 2 stars instead of less because the previous experience wasn't bad and because our server did try to find out if the wings were gluten free.Overall very disappointed and will likely not dine again.
Simply the BEST pizza in town. Mellow Mushroom also offers burgers, calzones, appetizers, salads, and sandwiches, but we've only ever ordered pizza and have never been disappointed. We've eaten nearly every variety they offer (including gluten-free) and each one is spectacular. My absolute favorite is the Holy Shittake (pictured) and the crust is unbelievable. I actually order a side of marinara (or garlic sauce) and save all the crust and have a "breadstick" dessert party after. We generally order takeout, but the atmosphere of the dine-in area is fun, hippy, casual, and very inviting. The cost is on the pricey side and the sizes are a tad small, but worth every penny - not a single slice goes to waste! Such a treat!
We have been to many Mellow Mushrooms over 3 states, and we like to call this one our fancier one. Each location has such an experience. Our server was great, sorry we forgot her name last night but I remember her by all her colorfull pens. Kids loved the food as usuall and this time paced ourselves to get some desert haha. Five stars as usual!
The pizza was really good. We were really happy to see the customize option of half and half pie where we could select two of the varieties. Our pizza was the combination of cheese and veg out pizza. Looking forward to try more from Mellow Mushroom.

Great food. Teriyaki chicken sub was good. Something about the tater tots made them great! Sweet tea wasn’t southern enough for me.

After calling in my order an hour prior to arriving, I wanted my car close 20 minutes for someone to bring my food out.Revised as of 3/5/22 - The management team responded to my review within less 24 hours. Noah the manager was so receptive to listen to my experience, and was super understanding. I was blown away of how responsive the store owner was. I will be returning to this location first chance I get! ? I’m a happy camper!

This is just a photo I took while we were there tonight. This was my family's first time there. Rose was our server. She was awesome! Noah the owner is an awesome dude and really makes you feel welcome!! The atmosphere is very funky, artsy and unique. We loved it. The food was incredible!! We will definitely be going back! Go check it out and see Noah, Rose and the crew. They are really great. The whole vibe of the place is amazing and so is the food. Check it out!! You won't regret it.
