So, I Googled "seafood near me" and this little gem popped up- Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls!!I ordered 2 Connecticut rolls which were quickly inhaled. So much lobster meat, so juicy! The roll was warm and buttery. The Lobster Mac n Cheese is excellent! Lots of lobster. I'll be back!!
I have to start off this review by saying the food here was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the 3 out of 5 stars comes from the value. I know lobster isn't cheap but to feed a family of 4 with 2 meals coming from the child's menu clocked us in at $85. I don't have a problem spending money on a good meal but if I'm going to spend close to $100 I would expect to be at a decent sit down environment. Also there just wasn't enough food to fill myself and son up. I ordered the Bar Harbor with lobster bisque with extra lobster which brought me close to $40. After that I was still hungry. My son ordered a $6 hot dog and my daughter ordered a $6 grilled cheese. Those dishes did not come with any sides. Extremely overpriced in my opinion. There would be more value had they come with chips, fruit or some type of side. The same could be said with my order. Again I emphasize that the food was great, just not for that price. This is your place if you prioritize quality over quantity. Unfortunately here there is no middle ground.
What a nice evening treat! We were in the area and saw that Mason’s was open and decided to stop in for dinner. Everyone was friendly and eager to help. They advertised possible add-on’s to compliment the food. Both the Classic and Connecticut rolls were quite delicious. There was plenty of lobster meat, which was tender, and the bread was buttery. The bisque definitely needs the additional lobster meat addition. Overall, it was an experience I can’t wait to repeat.
My friend and I were invited in to try their famous lobster rolls earlier this week before their grand opening. We each tried a Connecticut Roll, and then my friend got tater tots and I got lobster bisque. The lobster rolls were incredible. The lobster tasted so fresh and was cooked to perfection and the bread was lightly toasted and delicious. I tried one of the tots and they were great. I am picky when it comes to lobster bisque but I loved their soup, I would absolutely order it again. We also got to speak with the owners and area managers while we dined to learn more about the business. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. We will absolutely be returning!
Lobster roll was delish! Fast out of kitchen and friendly service!
My husband & I were in the area so we decided to try them out. My husband walks in the location at around 8:15 pm to grab a menu (door & everywhere you look up the restaurant says they close at 9). He walks back in about 3 mins later to place an order to be told they are closed. WELL WHY TF IS THE DOOR OPEN OR AT MINIMUM My husband should have been told they couldn't take anymore orders for the night. I promise you they will NOT ever get our business & I'll make sure to share our experience.
The staff members were amazing and the food was even better!
