We took an out-of-town friend to Lucky 32 because we thought it would be a good place to treat him to local fare. We weren't disappointed. The service was excellent, and everybody raved about their food.
As usual, the food at Lucky 32 was delicious. Our server was very nice, polite and attentive. The bar was backed up, so it took 20 minutes for our cocktails to arrive, only a couple of minutes before our food, which was ordered after cocktails. This isnât a big deal, but we do like to enjoy our cocktail before the meal. I guess we should have waited until the drinks came before ordering. Our reservation was for the bar area, but we were seated in a back corner on the opposite side of the restaurant. They were very busy and had some large parties, so I am sure they had to do some rearranging, but there was no acknowledgement from the hostess that they would be seating us elsewhere. We actually would have been happy to just eat at the bar, but it looked completely full. We will continue to go back as we really enjoy Lucky 32, and I am happy for them that they seem to be doing a great business after all restaurants have endured the past couple of years. We will just get there earlier next time and hope for a seat at the bar.
I have been a customer here for many years and last night was not indicative of my full dining experience there but nonetheless the quality of the food has been declining. I had the Jambalaya and it was atrocious. It was dry, the meats were tasteless and it felt thrown together. The appetizers were sub par, similar to what you would find at a Chilis. The service was excellent and the people were wonderful. Our waiter was prompt, attentive and professional. If it wasnât for the food, Iâd come back :)
This was our first time dining at Lucky 32. The food was wonderful and fresh. We had such a great experience & weâll be coming back. Thank you.
Excellent lunch at Lucky 32 yesterday! Had a reservation & was promptly seated. Waiter was very attentive. Food was excellent! Our table ordered the following dishes & each family member raved about their meal: - Spicy Goat Cheese Avocado Toast - Shrimp & Grits - Short Rib Hash - Grilled Salmon with Tomato Relish We live in North Raleigh, but will definitely be making the trek to Cary to eat her again. Thank you, Lucky 32, for a great dining experience!
Great food and service
Sunday brunch is the best!
Fresh and delicious, served promptly, just as always!
Reservation was ready even we got there. Voodoo Bloody Mary over-priced @ $12; no celery or lime; old fashion glass - small serving for price, no substance to BM mix. Food was very good - Southern Delight very good good except eggs over cooked for soft-scrambled; Summertime Grilled Chicken Breast - excellent; Corn Bread great! Peanut Butter Pie huge - enough for two-three eaters. Service inattentive and unusually impersonal - must nut have been having a good day! Will go back!
As usual,Lucky 32 had great food. We both loved our Mocktails - fun drink but with no alcohol. We went to brunch this time. I love how there are always dishes made with what is in season and that things like bacon are local. For example, I had ciabatta French Toast with delicious local in-season blackberries and peaches. Delicious!
