My husband and I, along with our two boys, ate here for the first time this past Saturday and we will definitely return! The food was absolutely delicious! We loved the focaccia- absolutely melt in your mouth! The braised beef was phenomenal - my husband and oldest son loved it. I had the grouper special - so good! They do not have a kids menu, but they made a fettuccine pomodoro for my 8 year old and he raved about it for two days ! Splurge and get dessert - the tiramisu is so worth it! I also had the salad that was on the appetizer menu - best salad I’ve ever eaten. It had fresh berries, a soft cheese, and I loved the dressing. We will 100% be returning. It’s a very small restaurant so I suggest making a reservation. Definitely check it out - you won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant is located in a strip mall, but looks are deceiving. Inside the décor is cool and comfortable. We tried La Grassa when we couldn't find another restaurant with available reservations and we're glad we made the discovery. For starters I ordered the arancini, which in this case were Saffron rice balls, lemon, basil, provolone, and tomato. IThese were the tastiest arancini I've had. For the entrée I ordered the pappardelle (a broad, flat pasta) with wild boar ragu with porcini mushrooms. I paired it with a delicious Italian red blend wine. This was simply one of the best Italian dishes I've ever had! My wife got eggplant parmesan. Two big thumbs up from us.

The fresh pasta was great and loved the wild boar. Would've love to have tried the foccacia, but they were all out. Meal was filling. Very nice intimate setting. Perfect for our early Valentine's dinner.

Absolutely loved this place! Small but not cramped, this place is intimate. We were greeted at the door as soon as we entered. Was a good thing we had reservations because the place was almost fully booked for Friday night and while we ate several couples were turned away or opted to wait outside in the freezing temps for a table. The waitress explained the wines were ordered by what I would call light to most robust from top to bottom. They had about 20 wines and a few beers. Almost all if not all wines were available by the glass which is a great way to see which you like if you're not familiar with Italian wine. We started with the arancini, served with two on a tomato sauce, which I thought was perfect but the one my husband had he felt could have been cooked longer. We also got the focaccia and it is worth paying for. So crisp but soft and the right amount of seasoning. I opted for the tagliatelle bolognese which is my test of an Italian place since I make a darn good version at home and it was incredible. My husband got the four cheese gnocchi and loved it. He also ordered the broccolini to get something to help break up the richness of the gnocchi and it was very good. And he finished with tiramisu. I'm not a fan of tiramisu because I feel it is usually very mushy but this was a good version and I enjoyed stealing a few bites. Can't wait to go back!

My daughter and I had a delightful experience tonight! Chef Robert was so nice and accommodating and cooks everything himself. He even went around to the tables and spoke to customers. Service was very fast and the food is outstanding. It takes a lot to impress me and the short rib dish was exquisite! The bread is worth it to pay the extra cost.We will definitely be back! This place is a gem! I want to try everything he makes!

It was a birthday celebration that brought me to this La Grassa. I previously heard about it from my godson, who's birthday we were celebrating. I knew wanted to go, but had not made it there before he invited me.The spot is small and quaint and that works really well especially for how things are today. But also is a nod to a true Italian experience. Robert, the owner and chef is a gem. Friendly, helpful and accommodating; although don't ask for substitutions as Italians don't take kindly to that. The atmosphere is what you make it but with a dash of kindness and hospitality from the servers and Robert. The food, superb...creamy, rich and filling. The wine... magnifico.I've already sent some friends over and can't wait to take my family. Be sure to make a reservation as I'm sure La Grassa will become one of those spots.

Incredible food and service. Bob and his team are absolutely fantastic. Some of the best Italian food I’ve had in the area, really.

Lovely evening: relaxed service, awesome wine suggestion, short ribs and tiramisu to die for. Great addition to the local Cary restaurant scene. Will be back!

Beautiful interior. Focaccia and Bolognese were amazing and staff was extremely friendly

Bobby and his team did not disappoint with our New Years Eve dinner. I’m normally not one to post reviews, but you know the food was that good when you crave it the very next day after eating it. The tiramisu and focaccia do not disappoint! Bobby makes a point to meet his customers which is truly a wonderful touch. We will be back again!
