Great location and the food was good. We sat at the bar and it was a decent experience. Recommend the cauliflower appetizer and any of the tacos.Three stars due to the service mostly. The bartender was friendly but seemed overworked. When we arrived, we did not have a reservation and were told we would have to sit at the bar, but there were quite a few open tables. I try to give a little grace due to the current staffing issues out there, but there were at least 2-3 servers standing around at any given moment. Will likely try again but make a reservation to have the best chance at a good experience.

We’ve been here several times for date nights and the food is always excellent. I love the house margarita (on draft!). The menu changes with seasons. Recently had the wahoo tacos and summer squash dish. Both were delicious. Sitting out in the courtyard is nice for people watching but sunken off the road so you’re not eating next to parked cars. Friendly staff too. We highly recommend it if you’re out in downtown Cary!

We had an excellent time at Hank's. We'd been in a time before just for drinks (the Aperol Spritz is stellar) but this was our first time eating. Started with a white negroni, still bitter but less sweet than a classic negroni but had a herbal flavor. Great when cold but a bit too herbal when it warmed up. Tried the mushroom toast and while it was good, we probably would not get again. The oysters were great and we loved Hank's hot sauce enough to buy a bottle to take home. Both tacos we had were excellent but the shrimp one was OMG great and I hope they opt to keep that as a normal item. The brisket one was still quite delicious. The fried chicken came with fries and a small salad. Fries were really good. The chicken was perfect. So crispy, great flavor, very moist. Liked adding some of that hot sauce on it, too. Wonderful waitress handling multiple tables did great. Enjoyed talking with Matt, too.

We just went for the first time and sat at the bar. our bartender, Hayden, was outstanding, helpful and kind. we had the toast (omg so good), asparagus and ribeye. everything was absolutely delicious. can't wait to go back! please sell your logo shirts! I need that dog on a shirt :)

Nice spot in downtown Cary. Had a little Miami, Little Havana vibe.Service was great. It was a little cold in there, but come spring or summer when the weather warms up it should be nice with all the open air. They can open up windows to the street and patio so it will have a larger feel.Chicken basket is definitely for two. This is a good place for custom cocktails. Plenty of small plates to choose from.Overall great hidden gem in Cary.

Hank’s is just…great. It’s the best food we have had in the Triangle area. Great vibe, décor and service as well. We love the small plates offering as it gave us a chance to try several dishes. We had both the brisket and fish tacos, and a couple of the vegetable dishes (broccoli and potatoes), the flavors of which were all spot on. We feel so lucky to have Hank’s in Cary!

1st time visit ! All my partner and I can say is WOW ! Absolutely outstanding! The cocktails were sublime, The Palomino and The Saturn was beyond delicious. Started w (3) the Tuna Tartare, the cauliflower w house ranch, and BBQ Shrimp. Our main consisted of the Fish and Brisket tacos, just melted in your mouth. The side of Fingerling potatoes w horseradish sauce, again , very good. Finished w the Cornmeal Blondie for dessert. Not only was the presentation spot on, but the overall freshness, portion and the overall vibe to this restaurant, truly hit it out of the park for us. Please patronize this establishment, one of the best food experiences in the area. Service was so attentive, professional, and every need was met. As you can tell we'll certainly be returning.I am certain this will be an area favorite. ?

Great spot. Great food. I had a wonderful cocktail and the vibe is perfect.

Really superb food and nice atmosphere. Great indoor and outdoor seating. A bit of a formal feel but you will fit in with T-shirt and jeans or dressed up.

Had a lovely dinner for 6 at Hank's last night. Great vibe indoors and nice outdoor dining section (with heaters). First, drinks. Loved the cocktail choices! Table favorite was gin, gin mule. We ordered a selection of small plates (we also got the popular fried chicken and were not disappointed!). Here's a selection of what we had: cauliflower (personal favorite!), almonds and olives (in a nice citrus oil), octopus (presented beautifully), smoked beets (they happily subbed out the blue cheese), tuna tartare (good, but least favorite among the group), brisket taco (smelled delish), fingerlings (with an excellent dipping sauce), and a large portion of roasted broccoli. Service was fantastic from everyone we came in contact with. The staff worked well as a team and were very knowledgeable. We regret not ordering the mushroom toast but definitely will on our next visit (because we can't wait to go back!).
