The hamburgers are pretty good, but AVOID the 1/2-pound steakburger. Instead get the 1/4-pound hamburger. The half-pounder is just too much, and the bun usually ends up as a soggy mess because they don't seem to allow the cooked burger patty to rest long enough before serving it. The Char Burger and their hot dogs are pretty good too. I never tried their salad or chicken sandwich, but my son said they are pretty good. One more warning -- Char Grill is hella expensive, and the milkshakes are ridiculous for what they are. If you want a milkshake you can probably make a much better on at home. Get some ice cream from Aldi, and make four milkshakes for less than the cost of just one at Char Grill. For faster service call ahead.
Fantastic little burger joint! Just moved here and already been here a few times. Super good burgers for REALLY good prices. Definitely recommended. Spent <$8 for a burger and fries!
They go above and beyond to serve customers! Fantastic burgers and hot dogs. We really enjoyed the unique way of ordering, makes it no nonsense. The service is really fast. The chocolate shake was really good too. No complaints here! This will be our go-to place for burgers. The french fries are perfect as well. I cannot rave enough about this place. Great place to bring kids.How good the apple turnover is: I ate half of it and put aside another half to take home to introduce my wife to this deliciousness. The other half of the turnover didn't last 5 minutes next to me. I just had to finish the whole thing. They have a great dedication towards making everything really fresh. And the turnover had the perfect amount of crisp.
The burgers were really good you can actually see them charcoal hamburgers people were friendly and always a line but they get to you fast and service always fast
Cool 50s vibe & music, back to its 1959 roots. Super clean. Simple menu. Good burgers. 1/4 lb was much bigger than expected. Old school ordering (pencil & pad). And they have DDP! Will come back.
I was really impressed with our experience here tonight. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality, price, and taste of our burgers and fries. I don’t know where else you can get a 1/2 lb burger, fries, and a drink for $10?! All employees were friendly and efficient. We’ll definitely be back!
Decided to go here on a whim with my uncle. I was actually embarrassed for suggesting it...the cheeseburger I got was slop on a bun, fries were somehow underdone and boiling hot at the same time, the ordering process was complicated and time-consuming...you can get a way better, faster burger at Cookout for much less. I hope they go out of business so a better lunch spot can take their place.
Honestly the food here is delicious. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Would expect the price to be a little lower but they are still very good. Honestly this place is great at what it does and I don't think it should try anything new at the cost of sacrificing it's quality currently. That said I don't think it's the best burger place in the surrounding area but it's pretty dang close.
Normally, the food and service is very good at this restaurant...I have eaten here many times ! But tonight (Nov. 18) was an exception! Because there are staffing shortages at many (most) restaurants for multiple reasons-thus closing times can change rapidly-my niece called Char-Grill early this evening to verify that your store would would be open until 9:00...an employee said 9:00 was the correct closing time... we got there at 8:40 tonight-and the restaurant was already closed!...I talked to one of the employees who opened the door-and told him essentially what I've just written...he didn't offer any explanation for the early closing, nor did he apologize (also, there was no sign posted saying WHY they were closing early tonight )...this is RUDE and INEXCUSEABLE !!! Not sure if I or my nieces will return...
Great! Love me some Chargrill. This one is different than the original location downtown - it has indoor and outdoor seating, and more menu options. The manager came out and asked us how our meal was and was a good dude - always appreciate good management. Food was good and the place was clean.
