I’ve came here a few times and the food has always been good, but today when I went the person in front of me had to say “come on man a little more beans” at first I thought he was being rude but then when I saw how small the servings were for my own meal I realized where he was as coming from. My girlfriends Bowl didn’t even cover 1/4 of the bowl and I added just about every topping and it maybe covered 1/3. Portions have become way too small. They skimped us hard.
Wanted Tacos for lunch today, took a shot and ordered from here. Man, do they make some damn good tacos! Tasted fresh, very flavorful, and the amount of food I got was awesome. Will be back for sure!
We have been ordering from here for a while. The food has always been good, better than Moe's or Chipotle. But recently they significantly reduced the portion sizes for everything. The burrito bowls barely fill 1/4 of the bowl, and for the price, that's terrible. When I asked about it, I was told "that's how it's always been" , which it has not. Disappointing.
I really loved this place for its casual atmosphere and clean, flavorful food! Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.Management: a hook in the lady's bathroom to hang a purse would be a SUPER amazing small upgrade if you have a chance :)
Staff was friendly and helpful. Ordered 2 burrito bowls. One had significantly more "stuff" than the other. Both were served in paper bowls. Not that great for a burrito IMO. They just don't hold up well. Flavors were fine, nothing spectacular. Both bowls actually weren't served very warm ( we ate in).They appear to have less options for their burritos/ bowls than Moe's or Chipotle. Price on par with both. Chips and salsas were good.
Food was on point. Dining environment was pleasant would recommend for a quick bite to eat especially on lunch break food is hot made right in front of you served quickly multiple choices of salsa. Stop in get you a burrito...Nobody can resist a good Burrito.
At a time when “order-by-number,” carbon copy Mexican-style restaurants (Especial Numero 1: “Speedy Gonzales”) have dumbed down the quality of the offerings, ostensibly to maintain their precious price-poinrs, here is a new place that takes the opposite approach. This unassuming little storefront, which I would describe as an “old fashioned luncheonette with a Mexican flavor,” persists in serving up fresh, delicious burritos and bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads. NO compromise! The food comes first. I went to the one in Cary (Westlake Shopping Center… the one with an Ace Hardware) late Sunday morning, fifteen minutes after they opened. I was greeted by a nice young lady, who took my order. After paying for it, I drifted over to the soda fountain to fill my cup. Might I add here that Burrito Shak has the good sense to serve Coke Original Taste (as opposed to Coke Classic, a culinary abortion). I had barely sat down when my order was delivered to my table. I chose a bowl rather than a wrapped burrito. Bowls include a side of nacho chips (and salsa, if you like). For my protein topping I ordered battered north Atlantic cod. Bowls are served in rectangular, cardstock trays. At first that may seem “cheap.” But when you consider the issues with using real china (sanitation, breakage), I believe cardstock trays are the smarter choice for this venue. In a word or two, my food was delicious! The only issue was, it was too healthy. [:→>} My serving was generous. My fork made many trips from the tray to my lips before I had consumed the entire meal. Oh, did I mention, the place was spotless? I’m sure glad I made Burrito Shak my venue of choice for my late Sunday morning meal, rather than tiresome McDonald’s.
Forget about the negative reviews you see, there are still some legit managers. I have tried so many managers and I got scammed until I met Mrs SHERRY MURPHY, she's 100% legit and reliable.
